Where else would he go ??
PORTLAND baby. We need a PG Badly to help get our bigs some easy buckets and help our transition game. Our bigs would be the best defenders Nash has ever played with and help hide his perimeter D deficiencies.
Frank Lee wrote:I have no qualms about releasing him... as long as a suitable replacement at PG is secured. In fact, I'd release Nash and sign Andre Miller if the #s would permit. May be there is a 3 way deal out there.
Furthermore, I will be surprised if Nash re-ups this season... the longer he goes unsigned, the less leverage our front orfice has, and the more Nash and other GMs gain. He isn't going to come cheap this yr, one way or another. And as many others have said... I am not comfortable with tying up 10-12 mill per for a twilighter.
That said, I still believe we move forward into this yr with little or no changes.
Well how about:
Outlaw, Blake to Philly
Miller (S&T) to Phoenix
Nash to Portland (we can absorb the extra salary since we're 7 million under the cap)
The Outlaw,Blake/Miller portion was rumored to be heavily considered by blazers and sixers this year.
Or I'd be fine with Blake/Bayless for Nash, but many portland fans hate it due to a combination of Bayless infatuation and doubts about how Nash would fit with Nate.
