Seriously, Uncle Rico?

I change the avatar every 8 years. I'm due up for a new one in 2013. Stick around for that, it should be off the hook.

I really don't get it.

The key is that this year's draft is really, really bad, and I guess next year's draft is supposed to be at least decent if not better. So even a pick in the high teens or low twenties next year would be better than #14 this year.

Plus, you have to consider the real cost of looking like a fool. No one wants to be a laughing stock, and for good reason. The chances are slim that next year's pick lands in the top 5, but if it does, the Suns' franchise looks like a collection of abject buffoons. Let's say you were on Deal or No Deal, and it came down to the last 2 cases. One held $1,000,000 and the other held $5. The banker offers you $400,000. Now, according to your mathematical odds in this scenario, that's a bad offer, and you should turn it down. But the vast majority of people would accept it, because if you refuse it and wind up with just $5, you'll never live it down. Just like Chris Wallace (and the Grizzlies, as long as they employ him) will never live down the Pau Gasol trade.
