^they're just saying that because last year they put all the expectations on Lopez coming straight in and contributing, but he clearly wasnt ready

Low expectations = pleasant surprises. Read it on yahoo I think

Yeah, they're down playing the hype. Last yr, they made it seem like both Lopez and Dragic could step in right away.

I don't see Hill going anywhere that isn't a contender. He might come back to us for less money but as along as we're stil considered a playoff team or make a couple moves to try to further that.

True. Then we all got pissed (I didn't) at Lopez and Dragic.

I think if our roster looks reasonable enough to be playoff bound and possibly looks good enough to make noise in the playoffs, he'd stay. He's pretty much going to stay unless we're going into full rebuild mode ie Nash gets traded. I think at his age and with his family settling down, it's not worth moving. Unless it's back to Orlando where he has a house.

Doesn't bode well for us...is Hill going to take half what DA is offering?

 Gotta love the New York media. I don't see Hill going for money. IMO it will be all about winning, but still being able to contribute. Meaning I don't see him going somewhere to play 10 mins a game.

DA would play him 30, but he wouldn't be winning...

If Turk leaves ORL, I could see Hill going there and playing 30 AND winning...and he kinda owes them ;)

Three reasons Hill chose the Suns:

1. Nash
2. Nelson
3. Gentry

Take Nash out and I would be worried.

Exactly my point re: DA.

I don't think he owes the Magic anything. He could have taken his money and sat, had he have done that then I would say he owes them, but he busted his gut to do everything he could to get back.

Do you think he would play a lot in ORL? I suppose he takes Lee's mins (is he still there or did he go in the VC trade?).

I just can't wait till the new season starts so at least we know who we have for the first week.

ORL boos him every time he steps foot on the court. ORL wants no part of him, why does everyone keep bringing ORL up?

Because everyone forgets what Grant says.

And we boo Kobe, but I guarantee you that if he was able to be had the FO would get him. Just coz the Fans boo someone doesn't mean the FO isn't going to hire someone. Believe it or not, in most franchises the FO makes the decisions over the Fans. ;)

Quite a bit different dude, you know GH the best, you know how hated for a REASON, not because he is an opponent.

Yeah, he may be hated by some fans for not resigning but what a few people don't realize is that BOTH himself and the Magic FO decided that it was best to move on, they actually never even offered him a contract in the end. Otis was going to but then they met and decided collectively that it was best to move on. In the end a huge deciding factor was they wanted Hedo to have more of an input on the game and with GH there, that was never going to happen.
