Well, I don't have my expectations real high in terms of winning, but I am definitely optimistic about seeing our younger guys develop this season. If something special does happen, I'm hoping it's one or two of our young guys really coming out.

That's an overly harsh and kind of stupid article, actually.

There are 29 teams that don't win the championship every year. There are 14 teams that don't even make the playoffs every year. How many teams had a window to win a championship that lasted 4 years, like the Suns did? How many teams have made the playoffs consistently for decades straight? The Suns are one of the winniest franchises in the league ... they've just, unfortunately so far, been too snakebitten to win the big one, but it was not for lack of trying. This last few years of Nash's career won't be the worst period of Suns history, and they'll be better than the best period of some teams' histories.

While Bickley's article was overly combative, the Slam article is worse. Suns fans ARE lucky. We've had one of the best products on the floor for a long time, and haven't gone through a real rebuilding project in a long, long time.

Suns still need a guy like Petro so they have 12 fouls between Lopez and the other center so that Frye can have latitude to possibly play the PF 4 - to score with the second team with guys like Barbosa, JDudley and Louis

With Nash, JRich, Hill and Amare - team doesn't need or should play Frye to start with that group, they don't need the points --too much of a chance for foul problems early. Let Lopez and Mystery Center X (Petro, whomever) - start and take those early fouls so Frye can be in the game with 6 minutes to go and have a nice offensive team for the stretch of games.

Alot of articles like this are ridiculous and I'm not even a Nash fan. When he signed all I saw is negative press about the Suns saying how they definately don't have any chance to do anything at all. How the heck do they know what happens? When the year starts all 30 teams have the same record 0-0 and when the playoffs start all 16 teams in it have a chance.

Good points - look at utah: well-run franchise, drafts smart, always plays well, never won anything except games
