WTF: No Love For Q-Rich?

Post#1 » by TheMan44 » Fri Aug 14, 2009 5:24 am

Q-Rich is the man. Very enjoyable time with the Suns. Always rooting for him when he knocked down that 3-pointer and stuck out the 'Q' with his fingers.

What happened?

4th time traded in 2 months?!?! Bounced around so many teams I cannot even keep track where he is playing now.

Where's the love? I'd take Q-Rich over J-Rich any day.

... as for q rich, he did have a GREAT year in PHX, but he was a beneficiary of our system and has not been the same player since... still it is crazy how many times he's been traded. has to be a record for the most times traded in 2 months. I'd like to see him back here once his inflated contract is up.

Yeah he had one of the best regular-season's and worst post-season's in the same year of all-time, he straight up typhooned it in the playoffs for us that year... Though he was fun to watch

Hey hey hey....

If you've been reading any of my previous stuff, you'd realize I am one of the BIGGEST jason richardson supporters out there. He is an amazing offensive talent and Suns need him when Amare is not playing because you don't wanna overload Nash for scoring.

With that said, I am strictly comparing Q-Rich (2004 Suns) versus J-Rich (2008 Suns) and would much rather have the former than the latter.

In my opinion when all is said and done - Q-Rich is the better overall player than J-Rich in terms of career totals, defensive ability, and fundamental skill set (remember, J-Rich is not the smartest of guys out there).

Just wanted to correct this part. He's not making a Q. Him and his old AAU buddy Darius Miles grew up huge Bulls fans. Whenever they make a 3 pointer they pound their hands on their head w/ 3 fingers out in the shape of Bulls horns.

 Sweet, I always wondered what the banging of the head was about. Always thought it was cool, but never really understood it.

I like JRich plenty as a player ... just not for his salary. He's a guy who should be making $8m/year.

Yeah, put him on Quentin's salary, even with that extra year, we keep him. 8 is great, 10 is acceptable, 14 is not. Trade Jason for Quentin + Wright / Quinn.

Go check Q's FG% for his career. Pathetic overrated chucker.

Dude couldn't even shoot over 40% playing with Nash.

I don't. Sure, when he does something exciting then he is fun to watch, but the guys bball IQ is just stupid and that is what really annoys me. Would I swap him for Q? Probably not.

I don't think either are worth the money they're making right now, but I'd rather have J-Rich than Q. Sure Q was mostly great when he played for us but he's been seriously down hill from there.

I hope J-Rich improves this year if not I'd be looking to move him for someone who plays both ways. Maybe some youngster that can develop while we start Barbosa. This year I think Frye and hopefully Clark will chip in on the offensive end to take the weight off Amare, Barbosa and Nash. I expect Amare to average well above 23-24 ppg with Barbosa and J-Rich at about 17-18 ppg.

Go Suns!
