Had a good friend that worked for the Mavericks, she got me on the court during pre-game and I was watching Stoudemire taking jumpshots from the elbow.... it was an out of body experience.

Something about being on a court like that, feet away from people you watch on tv.

We lost that game that night, but Grant Hill had two MASSIVE dunks that night. They have microphones right next to the hoops in the American Airlines Center... when Hill dunked it sucked the air out of the entire building.

Even though we got it handed to us, the copious amounts of beer, Grant's dunks and being on the court made it worth it.

From the looks of it, he looks really lean and healthy. Its amazing how i managed to spot him out and no one else was yelling out his name or anything.

did you tell him to Man up on D?

no but its actually funny cause this guy wearing a laker jersey recognized him then yelled out "you aint got no defense" and i looked for a reaction. All amare did was laugh but i did ask about the eye.
theres no such thing as defense in phoenix.

Willy Mays came into a store I used to work at and was a jerk to a couple of my friends. Long story short, I rubbed my balls on the remote of the tv he bought. True Story.

Nice one - Say Hey, indeed.

I have a friend who worked at a Yaletown (expensive) microbrew pub/restaurant and Vancouver being Hollywood North, there have been many big actors in the place. Some have been less than pleasant guests and the things that were done to their food and drinks ... oy vey.

I am very damned polite to wait-staff nowadays

ANYONE that is un-polite to wait-staff just needs to watch this one movie, and they will be corrected of their ignorant ways!

I saw Tom Chambers at Waterworld back in the early 90's. Dude is tall as hell especially when you're 10.

Saw Richard Dumas at Wendy's.

Saw Cedric Ceballos and Harold Minor at Arrowhead mall. Separate times.

Saw Kurt Warner at the Yardhouse in Scottsdale with his husband, I mean wife.

Saw Mike Tyson at AZ Mills in 97 or so.

First, why no stories from the DP'09 crew?

Second, a handy-dandy link to my epic A.C. Green story. Copy-paste seemed excessive.

When I was in high school I would run into AC Green all the time in the Biltmore area, lately it's been Frank Johnson I've been seeing a couple places. He was shopping with his lady in Target on 44th st a couple weeks ago.

Vinny Del Negro and his foxy wife were in the Lowe's I work at looking at blinds last summer, really good guy.

I remember when I was a kid running into McDyess shortly after we first acquired him, he was just walking around downtown Phx during a hoop it up tourney.

Oh yeah and met the one and only Matrix at PCL a couple years ago, he was a cool guy.

Only thing that happened to me was Luis Gonzalez and his family came into my store when I was working at the KB Toys at Chandler Fashion Center back in, oh, 2002 or 2003? Anyways, my shift was over and I was walking through the store when I walked right by him in front of the registers. I sort of did a double take and looked at one of my co-workers and mouthed to her "Is that...?" and she started nodding. I would have said something but I had a really long day and figured I'd let him shop in peace. Funny thing...months later while cleaning the stockroom I found a Luis Gonzalez McFarlane figure (along with some other figures) someone stashed back there. And no, his autograph was not on it.
