Re: Trade ideas...
Any Suns fan who wouldnt do that trade is off his rocker. Any Celtics fan that would is equally as crazy. Getting Baron Davis and J-Rich's contracts would kill their flexibility for years to come, not to mention probably means them losing Rondo. If we still had Shaq though and managed to get Ray Ray, that team would contend. If Shaq made Kapono a rich man, who knows how he could have helped Allen, plus our rebounding production wouldnt be hurting. I still say try to use Pavs/RIchardson for a C like Camby, but id do the Allen trade in a heartbeat.

Re: Trade ideas...
Hey fellas, I was just reading about the whole sessions deal and how Mil wants to match but will not go over the lux tax, but said don't rule out them making another deal to free up money to be able to match sessions offer. It got me to wondering who they value more sessions or crazy eyes? We could trade Pavs for crazy eyes and whatever else needs to be added (if anything needed) to make the numbers work. That would allow them to waive pavs and free up the money they need to match sessions offer and it gets us a center I think we all believe can still help us. Mil is in a bind on this one, they did not think anyone was going to give him an offer, they thought everybody was going to back away like the knicks, but in anycase that's where they are at now, and we may be able to benefit from it.. What do you guys think ??

Re: Trade ideas...
I would do it. But again, I think the Suns staff are content with what they have. They want to watch their youth develop. Although I don't think Kurt Thomas would ask for much playing time, I just don't see the Suns making a move at this point.
Maybe Kurt Thomas could show Robin Lopez how to flop, and to make crazy eyes to scare the refs.

..but in the Offseason thread you just suggested Pavs and 2 second-rounders for Jeff Foster. Which by the way, I don't mind Jeff Foster here but no way do I give up 2 draft picks in that transaction.
The fact that we've held on to Pavs this long baffles me unless we are looking into trades...its not like we're going to keep him until his full salary is guaranteed...

Re: Trade ideas...
Now what I do consider is Pavs for Jeff Foster in a package where we would not need to send picks.
Also what about
OKC sends Krstic and Livingston for Pavs, Tucker and picks/cash - a non contender gets cost savings while sending us a couple of low-risk guys who are redundant on their roster. We get our solid big and backup PG. Krstic for Pavs straight up with us sending picks/cash works as well.

Re: Trade ideas...
Krstic is talented offensively, and has good size, but isn't he considered "soft" defensively, lack of toughness ?? I think we need someone more defensive minded at center.

Re: Trade ideas...
OKC wouldn't ever do that trade unfortunately.
I'm going to be ticked once we inevitably simply waive Pavlovic instead of trading him.

Can't see it: OKC went out of their way to get Krstic and they think Shawn L is a bargain and that he's coming back strong. They like both guys a lot.

I agree. OKC did go out of their way to bring Krstic back and Livingston is a low-risk, high-reward guy on a very cheap contract. Both of those guys can ball so there's no way they would give them up for savings.

This is why I've wanted Pavs cut long ago. The earlier we bring in a C the better the C learns our system, our players and get into SSOL conditioning.

I think Frank's point is we hold onto him to fill out a uniform until we would need to commit to him for the year, and then we cut him to save $$$. he doesn't turn into anyone or anything else, just savings.
