What is up with this poster? This thread and the Rafer thread?
I can understand talking about Raja, but once you added your trade thoughts, I instantly thought you were not right in the head. Compound that with you idea to trade Earl, and I know you are a few fries short of a Happy Meal. Then if that wasn't enough, you follow that up with a trade for Lou. The money isn't even close. Either you need to go back to school (start with a school that teaches Math), or learn more about basketball and the rules behind trading before you post a new thread. Sorry if I stepped on WTF's toes on this paragraph.
As for the Cats shopping Raja, it make little sense except for that his contract isn't bad and it is almost over. I don't see them getting much in the way of a PF. They let May go, and they traded Morrison. Both players hadn't even had a chance to hit their stride.
The only trade I would do with the Cats, would be a retrade, where we get Boris and Raja back, and we send JRich and Dudley back. Although I would much rather keep Dudley, and send them back JRich and get Boris and a filler. But it is a moot point anyway, because they are looking for a PF, and we don't have one to spare.

Raja was good for us just as Q was but they're past tense both of them. No way they should get minutes from J-Rich and Barbosa. Trading Dragic or Clark for Raja Bell is ludicrous.

Re: Bobcats Continue To Shop Raja Bell
The only way the Suns would have gotten Rafer Alston or Raja Bell was to trade Sasha Pavlovic for them, but since that is out of the question now, there is really nothing else on the table we can offer. We can't do a two for one deal because then the Suns would have to shop another roster spot and no way is Sarver spending more than he needs to.
I'm sure the Suns looked at every possibility with trading Sasha, and found no end result that would make a huge impact on the team, especially a player being worth 10 mil (count in Luxury tax).
If Bell is cut/waived in February, I fully expect the Suns to make him an offer for the remainder of the season of veteran's minimum.
Then in playoffs we can run a variety of versatile lineups.
Nash/Dragic/Barbosa
Richardson/Barbosa/Bell
Hill/Dudley/Bell/Clark/Richardson
Amare/Clark/Amundson/Dudley
Frye/Lopez/Amundson/Amare

Re: Bobcats Continue To Shop Raja Bell
It never ceases to amaze me ...the harboring love affairs with former players.
Oooo chemistry oooo.... Man, can't you RosterWranglers just be content to see what we have before you spring wood and drool about every fricking player that becomes available. I swear, most of these asinine additions reek with Fantasy League foolishness. Keep it real and get it through your Colbalt Craniums that our roster is SET until mid season.

Agreeed - we all love Raja, we'd love him back and the only way that happens is a buyout-type situation where he comes to PHX at a minimum. Then we turn him into a Bowen and he plays spot minutes, adding years to his career.
I think if he's not asked to start and play serious minutes he still has it, plus he's a competitor and could maybe sink his teeth into that role

Re: Bobcats Continue To Shop Raja Bell
Lets stop with these silly fantasy trades. geez.
I do like Raja, and I know he would like to come back and play with Nash and Hill. Yes, Porter is gone, however, Kerr and Sarver are still here. He might have a grudge against them too. If we can get rid of tuck, I like it. But to me, JRich is still the better player. He has to be bought out I think for us to have a shot at him.

I'd love to have Raja as our Bowen. I'm not sure if CHA would buy Raja out but if he does, I'd really hope he'd come back on a vet min and retire in Phoenix. Although I wouldn't be surprised if he has ill feelings about our FO who chose Porter over them.

Re: Bobcats Continue To Shop Raja Bell
I'll spew if Bell ends up in SA or back in DAL...argh
I could definitely see him coming back here, you could basically spin it to him and say his was the only deal that could be paired to get JRich/move Diaw....
In saying that, he's not going to be a game changing acquisition nor is he the stopper or shooter he was in his prime SSOL years...

you're right but at the min, he brings a lot of heart and soul and would be a great mentor.
