Anyone know if Haddadi is Sunni or Shi'a?

He actually doesn't "speak Persian", either. He speaks Farsi, lol.

"Perisan" and "Farsi" are often synonymous.

"Persian" and "Arabic" are most definitely not.

In any case, my point being this: Haddadi is an extremely talented player who deserves a starting slot in the NBA and a player who the Grizzlies will definitely not trade for just chip change or a few pieces of junk. He is a valuable superstar in his own right and will blossom into an NBA threat when given opportunity. And no, he does not speak Arabic...

I think you are taking everything out of context. It was a passing comment to poke fun, not meant in any demeaning manner. Much the same as we used to always give mkot a hard time about living in China, where he actually lived in Canada.

The point about the trade isn't about how good Haddadi is or can be, it is about him wanting out and hopefully being able to be had for cheap. I would definitely say that Haddadi is a better overall player than Tucker, but it is more about what he is worth to the team. Take the Lakers Grizz trade for example, are you trying to tell me that the Grizz got equal value for Pau?

**** him. I couldn't believe what he said a few months ago about his position on the Grizzles. I don't want that on this team.

Yes and not just because of Duke ..he is VERY solid fundamentally and has great rebounding IQ

I think he's talking about Sean Williams, not Shelden Williams. I think.

Wow I have a one track mind. Shelden would be good for what we are looking for though - and BOS ended up being overcrowded at PF/C so we could probably pry him for cheap
