My cousin got me into listening Hilltop Hoods last weekend at Havisu. Came home and downloaded 3 cd's and have been listening to them since. Highly recomended hip=hop group from Australia.

* On a side note, meet a cool Aussie dude there (Jet Ski World Championship in Havisu).18 years old and first time in the states. Drank beers with him till 6 in the morning, talking 'bout the differences between the US and Australia. Nice bloke (He called me a wanker for liking Nissan Skylines). Got us pit passes for the races.

**Extra side note - LOL @ the Aussie's "Sinners Tax" that must suck!

Not a huge fan of them myself, they had one really good album but other than that I don't really like their stuff. Their two best tracks IMO are Nosebleed Section and my personal favourite The Sentinal.

Ummm BTW, what is Sinners Tax? I think someone was having a lend of ya.

Was talking about the Tax being imposed on Ciggs/Spirits/Beer.

Maybe its in New Zeland, he said he moved from Australia about 8 months ago.
He was originally from Melbourne and said people hate Russel Crowe. Also talked about pig hunting in the outback with a knife.

Oh right, yeah premixed drinks went up ridiculously, almost doubled in price. The government thought it would be a good idea to curb teen binge drinking. All it did was make them buy bottles of spirits to mix themselves at stronger mixes whilst getting absolutely smashed in a few drinks rather than 20.

From Rated R I kept the following tracks:
The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret
Leg of Lamb
Auto Pilot
Monsters in the Parasol
In the Fade

From Songs for the Deaf I kept the following tracks:
No One Knows..........this is by far my favourite track of theirs
First It Giveth
The Sky Is Fallin
Hangin Tree
Go With The Flow
Gonna Leave You
Do It Again
God Is In The Radio
Another Love Song

Maybe the last two tracks as well, but I haven't finished deciding.

Their best song...very underrated...gotta play it LOUD...

When I'm driving at night, I like to listen to more mellow stuff like trip-hop, shoegaze, or ambient.

While I paint or write, I like to listen to music that evokes an atmosphere but isn't particularly intrusive, particularly music scores.

Other than those two scenarios, I kind of listen to whatever I'm feeling at that particular moment.

You and I sir have to elaborate :-)

Lately it's been all post-rock for me; Mogwai, Caspian, God is an Astronaut, Explosions in the Sky, Mono, etc.

What ?? No Marvin Gaye ? Jeezus are you narrow minded 8-) (diverse line up..., put it on random and check back in a week)

I pretty much listen to everything .... else... that has been posted. That hard #### and hippity hop/ rap challenges my patience. Currently in my car... The Del McCoury Band.

^My dad was a bellboy in London when he was 18 and carried Frank Zappa's bags, said he gave the biggest tip he'd ever had, even more than the Sheik's who handed out 100 pound notes for carrying bags
