2009-2010 Power Rankings: Week 6

Lakers still number 1, Suns number 2. The big surprise for me, is the Nuggets losing to the Wolves at home yesterday. Blazers lost to Golden State and Memphis this week too.
Glad to see the Suns winning against teams we SHOULD be beating and other top tier teams losing to them :D

Plus, FYI:

NBA.com Power Rankings

ORL
PHX
LAL
BOS
DEN

http://www.nba.com/powerrankings/

BleacherReport Power Rankings

LAL
PHX
CLE
ORL
BOS

Looks like a consensus number 2. Pretty fair assessment, I'm not quite ready to give my blessing though - call me cynical, but I do want to see more games against elite teams before jinxing anything.

#1 in Hollinger's rankings...it's been a few years since I remember that happening

I'll stop whining about the formula until we drop

WOW the Lakers have played 4 away games and only two of the other top 10 have played 10 away (while we have played 11). Aren't we only one game into a 4 game road trip?

Suns win!

edit: ok the Raptors were two, but still. Cavs will be a huge coming home game.

We need to win some games against winning teams so our SOS goes up and we can legitimize our uberness.

Our uberness is in tact until we start bombing to elite teams. It's their job to beat us. We've beaten everyone we've been handed except for 3 teams. We keep beating the teams we are supposed to, and we'll be champs.

We should be behind the Magic and Lakers.

we have a better record and more road wins and are undefeated at home. i don't care who you're playing, any NBA team in the league is NOT a gimme. Ok, I lied, the Nets are, so far.

I don't like being top 3 and being "a team to beat." I'd rather people doubt us and hate on us so we'll play every game with a chip on our shoulder. There's nothing wrong with flying under the radar.

The others in Hollinger's top 5 all have two easy win games against sub par and underperforming teams coming up while we got the Cavs on Tuesday on the back end of a B2B. There could very well be a shift in the rankings and records after Wed.
