Parker TOTALLY deserves a chip, but if he doesn't get one in the NBA, he's got a decade of basically pole-jamming the Euroleague with MVPs and titles to back it up, so there are worse things. He was basically the Michael Jordan of Europe.

But yeah, after all Phoenix has given me in the Nash era (and the Barkley era, for that matter), I can't very well up and piss off when he retires.

I certainly would not classify myself as a bandwagon fan. There are certain teams/sports I follow more closely then others but I've supported teams until they basically didn't exist anymore, or existing in a different form.

Think I've brought this up before but I started playing with PHX in a game called "Lakers Vs Celtics" going back a *long* time ('89 from memory). Ah, the good ole KJ to Chambers days. I then started watching NBA and quickly became pretty obsessed with KJ. In year 8 (1991) I became friends with this Filipino guy who knew everything about the NBA. Quickly started playing basketball every recess/lunchtime at high school and around that time they started showing NBA on free-to-air TV here.

By this stage I was all over everything Suns related. Suns traded for Barkley and things just got better. Then I quickly realised what it meant to be a true Suns fan. Heartbreak after heartbreak, dagger after dagger.

While I wasn't as passionate in the late 90's/early 00's I still checked in with what was happening and knew all the players/trades that we would make thanks to the beauty of the internet by that stage. When we made that clear-out I was actually really excited with what could happen (I think that's when I joined RGM actually). Even tho life caught up with me last season and I wasn't as interested as other seasons I still can't disengage myself from this team.

I def do admire other teams. Completely understand where JV is coming from with the TBlazers team. Thought they were awesome but then they made some boneheaded moves. Was really impressed with the Sactown team with Webber in it. Always liked Webber from his college days and thought he would def win a 'chip.

My 2nd fave player of all time tho is Hakeem. I would still take him over any big man I've ever seen play. He was the complete package for me, which made his battles with KJ even more memorable. If Suns didn't win I hoped that Rockets would back in that era. Still bloody hurt watching Elie sink that dagger don't get me wrong!

I've always preferred bigs who had all-round talent and am not surprised these days just about every big can shoot the 18 footer.
