Re: Can anyone answer this question honestly?
Amare is playing decent, not outstanding if you look at his whole body of work (Defense and Hustle lacking). With that said, do you really see anyone offering him more than the 17 mill he is due to get next year, because in this economy and with his medical past and attitude, i dont. Amare, walking away from 17 mill next year would be like winning the lotto for the Suns. I assure you that with less than the 17 he is owed we could lure either a free-agent or restrictid free-agent, that can more than fill the shoes of Amare, and give us the Defense and hustle we need. Amare would be a fool to opt out, and he wont, and if he dose we will survive. Amare is not the engin that drives the suns. Hell when he goes out our defense gets a lot better and speed picks up. The only thing he brings is a post threat and scoring, we can find people to do that.

on jrich...
you can't rag on his 3pt%, he was almost in the 3pt competition last year.
no one likes how he doesnt try on defense, but he does know what hes doing out there.
JRich has definitly won games for us this year. he has been a HUGE difference maker this year, as has dudley. I would mcuh rather have dudley than bell, times a million, if you want to argue that, i dont know what to say. diaw is a good player, don't get me wrong, but he could never co-exist with amare, or this team, as no one ever really trusted him. jrich has had problems off the court, but he definitly already meshes with this team, and he is only going to get better in this situation.
Being in the 3 PT contest means nothing at all. Steve Nash was in it a couple seasons ago, two- I think, and he completely bombed and didn't make it out of the first round despite being one of the better shooters of the decade. The 3PT contest is really only for guys who dedicate their lives to spotting up for random threes- kind of like a freak show. lol
Most of JRich's points are coming off of fast break plays from the wing, which really doesn't impress me. A lot of players in the NBA can get back and fill lanes correctly. It really doesn't take much talent to be able to catch the ball from Steve Nash and score. Dudley has been good so far, and if he can actually maintain his %'s I'll be glad we have him. I prefer his hustle over everything else though.
