In the offseason I said that Miller would be the minimum I would do talent-wise for an expiring RE: JRich so I would prolly do this trade. I've always thought that Salmons would be a good back-court partner for LB as he's a Joe Johnson-lite. I actually said we should sign him 6 months before we almost did!

Miller's got great range on his jumper ... he's basically a big-bodied Frye when you think about it (plus passing ability) and he's expiring. Not sure how old he is these days but if he doesn't retire he'd be a great MinVet/LLE pick-up for this team.

I would trade Robin Lopez for a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken. It helps us by not being hungry at least one game.

Common, Robin's only 21 and look how long it took Noah to finally get it on track.:(

Please...Salmons overachieved greatly last year. His stats have gone right back down to his less than great career average this year. This trade has no redeeming value - we downgrade from Jrich to Salmons for an expiring, that's it. Not the kind of trade to pursue if we still want to do well this year. If not, then there are still probably better deals...

Chicago wants to keep their expirings because they think they can get DWade. Considering how they are playing this season, it's the only thing they have to look forward to. Trading for JRich would kill that "dream" and would keep them in mediocrity until JRich expires and they get another run at a top flight FA.

For us, I wouldn't actually mind the trade if it was done since I think Salmons is a good role player as is Miller and since Miller expires at the end of the season, we actually have cap space to be a player in the 2010 extravaganza.

So you figure by playoff time of his 2nd season, which is this year, RoLo will be a major contributor, as Noah was for the Bulls last spring? I was not a big fan of Noah and I freely admit I was wrong about him, but I think even early on he was far ahead of Sideshow. I get the comparison - hustle, defensive, boards, limited offense. I just don't think our boy is of the same calibre.

Salmons will negatively affect the ball movement, and Nash for that matter.

He likes to create plays himself, and it doesnt mesh well with the point guard, look at Derrick Rose, its like he is fighting for "assists" with the point guard.

But Bulls would benefit from Richardson.

I'd ask for Thomas, Hinrich, Miller

give them

Richardson, Lopez, Tucker

if we're going to do a trade with the bulls i'd rather it be amare for deng and tyrus.. both of those guys would flourish in our system
