Just saying, what's the point of trading away for a player when we might already have one!

No. LB is still too out of control with one-on-one. He might be good against inferior defenses

This is exactly what I've been preaching. Jason Richardson never has learned how to dribble a basketball. His step back jumper off the dribble is flat every time he doesn't know how to take a man off the dribble.

We need a 2 guard who can do that. We haven't had that since JJ. Joe Johnson is the guy we really need right now but we won't get him.

If we somehow acquire a lottery pick then Evan Turner out of Ohio State is the guy we need. He can take his man off the dribble was doing an excellent job before getting hurt.

Turkoglu can't take his man off the dribble that well he has one move the step back jumper. Sorry there's nobody white in the NBA who can take his man off the dribble that's not a point guard. We're just not athletic enough against these defenses.

Rudy Gay comes to mind. I'd do a Gay/Gasol swap for Amare+filler if they'd do that . Kinda doubt they'd do it but we could try.

Joe Johnson obviously comes to mind. You need a 2 guard who can play within the system and isn't a ballhog either like an OJ Mayo or someone like that. Kevin Martin would be pretty solid.

Honestly I think we should just try to get a lottery pick somehow make a trade and do our best to get Turner. The kid is going to be a beast.

Evan Turner... Um yes... He might slide in the draft a little bit because he's hurt right now. I would pursue 1 of 2 trades, which I have beaten like a dead horse on here on a near daily basis for the past week or 2. I will now continue the beating

Amare, a couple of our 2nd round picks, to Washington OR Philadelphia for

Washington (we'd probably have to throw in cash with this one)
-Jamison + filler (Stevenson and Mcguire work, plus they're a combine 4 million expiring) and their pick. Amare promoted himself on the radio out there. He might actually extend with them.

Philly- (they'd probably have to pay us to make payroll work)
Speights
Dalemberts (Please Use More Appropriate Word) contract that we could buy out for a little less than what it's worth.
And their pick... They wanna get rid of his contract really bad, and Amare could be treated as an expiring contract there. I really don't think he's gonna wanna stay. His ego will tell him not to

If the Bulls keep sucking we might be able to pull something with them for their pick to. For Turner it'd have to be pretty darn high though. He's projected to go pretty dang high on every mock draft.

If all else fails, I think Malcom Lee would be a good pickup at SG. He's supposed to be a nasty defender. Not awesome offensively but It's not hard to teach someone how to shoot with our staff as it would seem. Lou's jump shot has actually been pretty good this year (up 3%, and his FT's are up 13 %), and Dudley's 3 point percentage is up 10% from last year. We've got plenty of know how on shooting. We just need someone who likes to defend... Turner fits the bill of what we need more than Lee, but I think he'd be a good pickup to as long as he enters the draft this year. Some mocks have him, some don't. This years have him late in the first, the ones for next year have him high in the first round

His name is Earl Clark. Get him off of the bench and let him create.

Oh we need that too. I'd take a combination of... (all these would be drafts mind you, I know there are players out there who could fit these roles as well...)

All-star Caliber 2 (creates his own shot and for others as well as defends)/What Lopez is supposed to be but isn't, a defending, rebounding big

ie-
Evan Turner, Xavier Henry/Dexter Pittman, Keith Benson, maybe Artsiom Parakhouski

or a stopper at the 2 who can score now and again, ie- Dahntay Jones, Mickael Pietrus, Raja Bell, Bruce Bowen's ethical cousin, James Posey's Boston self / All star big...

ie-
Malcolm Lee/Arnett Moultrie, Patrick Patterson (although he'd have to technically be a 3 and Clark would have to play the 4)

And whoever said Clark could handle the ball, I think he could too. Someone just needs to figure out how to get him going. Playing time might help

Why trade, just bring Lou in off the bench.

So far we've had two guys from that nice GS team of a few years ago, and neither were the one I wanted - Pietrus.

I think that the Suns really need a better sub at the 4/5, but in the meantime, it's too bad they couldn't get their hands on Salmons. Maybe now that he's started slow, something can happen, but he's got the stuff to be a very effective player in this system.
