Well I found this short News on a Serbian website:
http://www3.serbiancafe.com/lat/vesti/2 ... oicic.html

I used google translate and got theses results, which agrees to your info. Just some sentences got lost in translation:

"Trifunovic, Kokoskov or Vukoičić
Nebojsa - 25 decembar 2009th in 06/14
The leaders of the Red Star have broken a contract agreement with the coach Aca Petrovic on Thursday and immediately put together a list of possible successors. There are Aleksandar Trifunovic, Igor Kokoskov and Government Vukoičić learned Monde.
Trifunovic has 42 years. He was a longtime player of stars, in 2002/03 season and coach. Then, as an expert argued in Lijetuvos Ritasu, Panionios and Spartak St. Petersburg.

Kokoskov has NBA experience, it is in Phoenix, Detroit and the Clippers worked as assistant coach. Playing career ended early due to injury and immediately dedicated coaching career, and although there are only 38 years old, has a rich experience. He was a member of the coaching staff coach Svetislav Pešića at the World Championships in Indianapolis. Self-led team of Georgia.

Government Vukoičić also young professionals, and affirmed the leading FMP, since 2005. to January 2008. He won the Adriatic League and Cup of Serbia, a team from Zeleznik played in the ULEB Cup semifinals.

Since November 2008. until recently sat on the bench Bosnia.

All three candidates ranging from the same starting position.

Star will next play the 5th game January against Dinamo in Moscow in Group F EuroCup, and four days later in NLB league waiting for FMP. Be expected to bring her new coach, but Santa Claus, and if not on, then Bozic Bata. (Blog)"

here is another one, seems like Trifunović is their first choice:

http://www.b92.net/sport/kosarka/vesti. ... _id=400269

Translation (Google)

" B92: Aco went - Truffaut, Kokoskov?

Aco Petrovic is no longer coach of the basketball club Red Star.

The club Mali Kalemegdan say that the decision is expected by the end of the week, and B92 has learned unofficially that the leaders talk with Igor Kokoskov, coach of Georgia and Phoenix Suns assistant coach. Besides him, the most serious candidate for a new coach Aleksandar Trifunovic star, former coach of 'red-white', Lijetuvos Ritasa and Spartak St. Petersburg, with whom in the course of informal negotiations.
Aco Petrovic, who is a graduate engineer of geodesy, the previous two seasons he led the Russian Unix, with whom he won the National Cup. Before that he was on the helm Rostovska Locomotives, Hemofarm and five years in the FMP Zeleznik, and this summer he returned to Red Star Belgrade, where he was assistant coach in the season 1997/1998.

Petrovic is with the club odično pushed the EuroCup, where the Stars score 3-1, but in NLB league 'red-white' were only the eighth with six wins and eight defeats. After the defeat on Tuesday of the future in the 'pioneer' for the first time they heard calls from the stands: "Aco, leaves, and Petrovic seems that desire quickly heard.

Igor Kokoskov (38) is currently the assistant coach of the Phoenix Suns. He was once the youngest basketball coach in Yugoslavia since the 24 years had to end his career due to toy injuries in a car accident. In the United States went 1999th when it became part of the University of Missouri team trainers, and was the first Evropljnin in that position in the NCAA league.

And he was the first neamerikanac who became assistant coach in the NBA since he joined the Los Angeles Clippers. 2003rd joined the Detroit Pistons as an assistant to Larry Brown who was the following year and won the title with 'clips'. April 2008. was appointed coach of Georgia, and two months later he became assistant coach in the Sansa.

As the most realistic successor Petrovic Aleksandar Trifunovic mentioned, a former player and coach of Red Star. Trifunovic to stardom and worked independently as an assistant Zmagoslavu Sagadin, and the biggest successes in the short trenerskoj recorded a career-leading Lijetuvos Ritas (2006-2008) - won the Baltic League, then played the ULEB Cup final and won the Euroleague Top16 phase.

Since the beginning of the season 42-year-old Trifunovic led Spartak St. Petersburg, but the cooperation with the Russian team finished in early November.

As a second solution mentioned in the Sasa Obradovic, who recently ended cooperation with the Polish Turovom, and even worked in Cologne and Kiev."

To put it this way, compare Dragic to every other young point guard in the league and all of them are

A) Already better than him

B) Have more potential than him

Since this guy seems to be Dragic's mentor I jokingly said hopefully he takes Dragic with him. My bad for wanting a better PG to back up Nash, you might think Dragic is the best player ever but in reality he is a scrub in the NBA. So go ahead and call me more names, doesn't change the fact he is one of the worst point guards in the NBA.

You know, me having MVF on 'ignore" doesn;'t really help much when you people quote his GD incoherent ravings in your own posts .... please see this doesn't happen again.

I used to be on the Dragic bandwagon but the guy had a year to prove he can play in the NBA and I haven't seen it yet while the guys I'm about to name already have.

As for the players I would take over Dragic today, these guys are all on rookie scale contracts similar to Dragic

-Mario Chalmers
-Ty Lawson
-Jrue Holiday
-Eric Maynor
-Kyle Lowry
-Rodrique Babois
-George Hill
-Jeff Teague
-Darren Collison
-Jordan Farmar
-Sergio Rodriguez

Those are just players who played under 4 years in the NBA and could most likely produce more than Dragic if they got his time.

Just saw what you wrote now. To answer that, those guys are either younger or not getting as many minutes as Dragic.

I firmly disagree with you. I think Dragic is a very capable backup PG when he plays with confidence.

Return to Phoenix Suns
