I have always been on his band wagon, especially for a 2nd chance. I think it is less a possibility of him coming hear due to Dragics improved play as of late. I still dont like his ball handling, but he is a decent backup.

Now back to Livingston. I have watched as many thunder games as possible this year to see my boy harden play. I have seen Livingston play 3 times now and the funny thing is, he still looks athletic to me. But what I did notice is that he was not aggressive on offense and was trying to be a team player by giving it to the chuckers on his team. He looked great to me athletically

I would give him a chance, but maybe he needs to spend some time in the D-league to get his confidence back and his game. He might not be as explosive, but he is 6-7 pg still and only 24.

Pair him up with Dragic - 6'7" and 6'4" guards who can both handle it would help our second unit...

Worse case scenario we cut him after 15 days

He can't contribute less than Griffin. That would be less than nothing.

Fantastic point TASTIC, that would be a sizable back court, especially since Dragic can play SG at times.

For some reason I thought the OP was talking about Sean Singletary lol. I'd be down with cutting Griffin to give Livingston a chance here.

Would take him, start Barbosa, and have Livingston come off the bench for the SG spot.

The Maverick's and many others felt one Steve Nash was "done."
Teams felt that Grant Hill was "done" and wanted him to retire.
Teams felt that Shaq was "done" too, until he came here and flourished.

Do we need more examples? I think so. Let's put Shaun Livingston and Trace McGrady in that list. That means sending Rich + Barbosa for TMAC + Budinger, and signing Livingston.

Nash/Dragic/Livingston
TMAC/Budinger/Livingston
Hill/Dudley/Clark
Amar'e/Amundson/Clark
Frye/Amar'e/Lopez

Would not trade Barbosa for a rent-a-TMac. I don't think he is the guy who will solve our problems.

The All-NBA Comeback Team?

I prefer to keep Barbosa even though T-MEC would accelerate our rebuilding process.

I think Barbosa needs to be a part of the rebuilding process. Dude brings so much to this team at a reasonable price, and he's our spirit animal to boot!

I'm on board w/ Shaun over Griff.

He didn't get much burn this year, but Livingston looked very solid in the action he was able to get with the Thunder last year, plus working with the Suns trainers would help him a lot.

I'm not against signing Livingston, but trading LB for a washed-up McGrady would be terrible. I know he is a huge expiring, but its not likely Phoenix would be able to attract a big name free agent anyway. We would lose two dynamic scorers and receive not nearly as much in return

If we were able to have a private workout with T-Mac, Nelson could then determine whether he has anything left in the tank. But until then, I wouldn't pull the trigger on this deal. It would greatly diminish our playoff chances if Tracy couldn't contribute.
