However, all this B2B defense is bunk. Yeah, sure there is some play to it. But on one night we were coming off an easy walk in the park vrs NO... ( We've been saying it so much, I think the players are believing it. How many 'No Energy' games have we lost ??)
The fLakers beat us because they are a better team. They will beat us 2 out of 3 times all day long... and if we are lucky, that will only last for the next 3 yrs. Trust me, I have deep psychological wounds from the almost decade of Showtime, and then followed up with their run w/ THE BIG RING-GETTER. They have built another freakin monster team, and will have it for a couple more years. That Buss is a savvy owner. Give him credit. Go figure on their rooters....They have a huge BANDWAGON contention and there's just a lot of Sh!+heads in LA... Not my favorite bunch of people*.
One solace is, when we play at our very best (ie most recent match) they can't bring their B B- game and beat us. They need their A game. Trouble is, we do not bring 4 quarters of our A game everyday, and almost ANYBODY can beat our B effort. Schools out on all that.
* fLaker fans were my least favorite fans for a along time... with Cowboy and Yankee supporters in second. But all have been supplanted by the plague that is called Steeler-mania.
