I would much rather have Barbosa at his price tag than Butler at HIS price tag. YMMV.

100%

Not to mention Barbosa's chemistry factor.

(Arenas was saying how he was keeping the guns in his locker "to keep them away from his daughter," but it seems more likely it was for protection.)

This is the weakest excuse I could imagine given the situation.

Gil makes millions and can't afford or figure out another way to keep guns away from his trigger happy DAUGHTER!?? :nonono:

Arenas and Crittendon will be facing criminal charges(Attempted murder even?) and long suspensions if this all proves true.

When keepin' it real goes wrong!

Also, wiretap says Wiz trades may be on hold pending results of the investigation.

have to laugh at Barbs>>>>>>>>Butler - I love LB and he's a bargain at his price but Caron has a very solid all-round game. Also, not a bargain, as noted above.

Why do none of these trades take back McGee?

Even better, take Arenas. He'll be suspended without pay for a couple of years .....

Butler can play SG too and he's easily better then Barbs at every side of the game besides 3 point shooting. He'd even make a better PG then Barbs. Should def pull the trigger on that trade if it comes up.

He's in buy low mode right now since he's having issues adapting to Saunders' system. Not surprising and not really his fault, I mean Saunders said he wanted Arenas to dominate the ball as much as possible and play like a true PG at the start of the season

As far as contracts go, he makes 9 mill this year and 10 mill next year, which is VERY reasonable for an allstar caliber player.

I'm not saying that Barbosa is better than Butler, not at all. I'm just saying that he brings exactly what we need to this team. Chemistry is great, so why mess with it by trading the guy we seemingly suck without?

Richardson for Butler? Absolutely. Barbosa for Butler? No thanks.

Richardson+Griffin for Butler+Oberto

Butler's playing like crap this season, but he's cheaper than Richardson and his contract is the same length. Oberto=size.

Nash/Dragic
Butler/Barbosa
Hill/Dudley/Clark
Amare/Amundson/Oberto
Frye/Lopez/Collins

Solid!

Jeez I'd trade Barbosa for Butler in a heartbeat. He's a PRO and although he gets hurt a lot it's because he plays hard

He's a great passer, defender, can play multiple positions and basically is what we thought we were getting from Diaw after his breakout season - that big swingman who can make plays and defend

Not to mention an All Star at $10m and he's only 29 still

Need to coax the Wizards into

Barbosa, JRich, Lopez, Griffin

for

Butler, Haywood, MJames

NBA players are such thugs jeez.

Yeah I take Caron over Barbs if the opportunity presents itself, but especially Caron over JRich - I would die to get the trade rsavaj mentioned.

a mix of all trades mentioned... J-Rich and Barb's (20 mil) for Butler, Miller, and Crittenton. I like how our front court is performing. I felt my heart drop watching Lopez guard Gasol because he did such a good job and I just wanted to rip on him but couldn't. I am tired of watching LB and J-Rich hoist contested jump shots every time they touch the ball. Maybe we resign miller next season, maybe we land a big free agent with the extra 10 mil we'd have to spend. If stat re-signs and Frye opts out to resign a higher contract, we'd be at 48 mil. If Hill decides to retire, we're at like 45. Give Frye the full MLE and sign someone totally rad and awesome. D-Wade fits the bill (even though he'll never sign here). Either way I think we'd be a much better team. Mike Miller would be great in our system. Health with those 2 is the only issue
