I hope we trade Earl Clark so I can stop hearing about how good he is. The only thing he's good at is not showing up when it matters, ie, when he hits the pine.
The Phoenix Suns - 54-28. Projected Record: 54-28 3rd Seed

The Phoenix Suns - 2010-2011 Projected Record: 30-52 3rd lottery pick.

Of course LB, Nash, Hill, Frye and Stat are our best starting five, but would it hurt us that much if we started Lopez, Clark and Duds or some combination of the three in order to start planning for the future.

If we are going to placate ourselves by "possibly" making the playoffs and getting tossed in round one, I think we can do it by starting Duds, Lopez and Clark. Clark can play for us in the same way as Nick Batum did for POR. He started, but played apprx 15min a game. I would like to see more of the young guys, I don't think it would hurt us in the standings much considering how we go crushed by Memp and OKC at home.

The Grizzlies and Thunder both beat the Suns at home, I'm not sure how many times more they meet with the Suns but if it's 3 and they each win one they will hold the tie breaker over the Suns for the playoff spots. They are right on the Suns tail so those two games can come back to haunt them at the end of the season.

What kind of trade did you have in mind Mr. GM?

I stick with what I said in the game thread.

Nash
Richardson
Hill
Stoudemire
Collins

Start Collins, play him through most of the first quarter and sporadically throughout the rest of the game. Total minutes don't need to be that high. You get our best-defending big man, a veteran presence w/ really high IQ and a good big body - a bit of rebounding too.

This way with Nash/Hill/Collins they come out playing smart instead of sloppy, a little less chucking and more working the ball inside as Collins helps clear the lane in a different way from Frye. Worried about Collins' scoring? We have 4 guys out there who would have no problem running the offensive show during this lineup.

I still would feel more comfortable with Nash/Rich/Hill/Amar'e/Collins

I just don't think EC55 has shown ANYTHING to date. Saturday he did okay, but didn't show anything to disprove all the talk of him not showing much in practice etc. I do understand that he has the potential to be a stopper or to stick with his man better than our other options - but out of him, Duds and Hill I feel that Hill brings the most to the table as far as the man who you want in your starting lineup and with 26-30 minutes.

Hill has the highest IQ, is the best rebounder, the best playmaker of the 3 and at least as good of a scorer as Duds - and probably about the same defensive awareness as Duds. If EC lives up to his potential then you look at him as your starter. But at this rate I don't think this happens until at the very least the beginning of next season.

My take is -

play Duds at the 2, let him be a Raja type guy for us. I'd rather see Collins start but I really want to know who the hell Lopex is, so yeah, start him as well.
Nash at the point, Duds, Rolo, Stat and who else? Clark isn't ready - though I did see him play some nice shut-down D in the Memphis game. I think we leave Frye there to pull the defense out - if he's cold, yank him.

i´d like to see how he does with all the starters on the floor for a longer stretch. something says me that he could start clicking if he get s more pt. hands down, ghill is the best option from the three players, but you also could use his playmaking abilities alongside dragic - and he realy looks old this year. he realy needs to drink more sprite..

I wouldn't mind

Nash
Duds or LB
Clark
Amare
Frye

I am done with JRich and Hill, they have no future with us. I just want to but Clark into the frying pan and see what he has to offer.

Nash
JRich
Hill
Stat
Frye

is killing me!
