Suns star forward Amar'e Stoudemire decided to rock a new look for Friday’s game. Instead of sporting the shades that harken back to the days of Bo Outlaw, Stoudemire unveiled his lates goggles.
The new look is reminiscent of the Lakers’ James Worthy mixed in with a smidge of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Unfortunately, the new-look eyewear only lasted the first 9:30 of the game before he reverted back to the familiar shades.
So what was the reason for the change?
“I got those in today and I shot around before the game with them on to see how they felt,” STAT said. “I wore them for a few minutes today – it worked out ok – but I wasn’t totally comfortable with them on yet so I went back with the reliable ones. I’ll try them on tomorrow to see how it goes.”
The four-time All-Star complained of a lack of comfort due to diminished peripheral vision. Well, whatever he’s looking through, it’s working.
Stoudemire notched his 10th double-double in the last 19 games. But we at Suns.com still like his pirate look the best.

Interesting.. I didn't get a chance to see the new ones since I missed the first quarter but it will be interesting to see how they affect his game and if he struggles a little bit early on while he is getting used to them like he did earlier in the season.
