Any GM who'd want Jrich over Martin should be fired and have his house vandalized.

I would love to have Kevin Martin in the SL. Even if it meant trading away JRich, Barbs, EC55, RoLo, Hill, or maybe even Dudley.

Just messing with Trade Machine.

I do like the idea of adding KMart but not really at the cost of losing Amar'e, unless a 2010 Lottery Pick is involved.

I would want Casspi in any trade with Sac.

And a 2010 pick would have to be involved.

I still would like more for Amare if we felt he was not opting in next year.

A trade is not always a ripoff of the other team like what Lakers did with Gasol. KMartin if made available should have quite some suitors. The question is whether we could beat competitors with our offer. I think something like LB+ Clark (or Robin) for KM would have the best chance. LB starting next to Evans would offer much better scoring power than what they have in Udoka and Udrih, and these four combine for a balanced rotation. Evans/LB/Casspi looks very intriguing. They still have Garcia coming back from injury next season.

We'd have to start Nash/Martin/JRich at 1-3 and have Dud and Hill come off bench.

JRich for Kevin Martin is a ridiculous trade. After reading all of the "reasons" this could happen posted throughout the thread, I'm inclined to say that none of them is convincing as the fact that you don't trade a 50 point scoring player for JRich. You can get FARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR greater value from any of the remaining 29 teams, probably 12 of which will be in the Kevin Martin Sweepstakes. Plus, please explain to me how JRich is a better backcourt complement to Tyreke Evans than Kevin Martin is???

Yes, Kmart can score, but the dude cant stay healthy. He is out at least 1/3 of the season, so how can that help us out? At least Jrich so far has stayed healthy to a point. Yes, he hurt his rist which has affected his shooting, but he does not miss 30+ games.

I do like Kmart, and think he would make our team so much better offensivly. But either trade is not going to work for either team. Sac town trades for Jrich, that is a down grade. We trade barbs, we have a long jam with at SG and SF while keeping Jrich and bringing in martin.

Im not in favor of trading Amare to them, especially for martin. Im also not impressed with their bigs either. The only way I would be intrested is if they give us unprotected picks.

That is why we would have to be involved in a 3-way trade for Kmart.

Is there any legitimacy to this rumor? Injury issues aside, being able to get Martin here without giving up Amare or Nash sounds too good to be true

eh?

Is KMart really the answer to our problems? If this is true, it seems like another short-sighted move by the FO that might have long-term consequences.

As for a trade I'd like to see the Suns pull off. I'd have a good look at a package of Aaron Brooks, Carl Landry, and what/whoever else the Rockets may give up. It's time to cash in on Nash while his trade value is at it's peak.

Adding Martin doesn't make the Suns a true contender if anything the defense just gets worse as impossible as that sounds.

If we were willing to take the risk, Kings might be accepting the following deal:

JRich/LB/Lopez/Clark/Hill for Martin/Nocioni/Hawes/Armstrong/Udoka

with Kings waiving Hill to come back after 30 days rest which he seems to dearly need now. We save 2.5 mil x2 this season but has to take Nocioni's bad contract. Kings next offseson might be able to trade the expiring JRich and LB for more cap.

We'd start Hawes/Amare/Nocioni/Martin/Nash with backups of Frye/Collins/Armstrong/Lou/Dud/Hill/Udoka/Dragic.

Trade whoever for Martin. Trade approved by NBA. Martin gets injured.

No, Kmart is just another, maybe better, way to have the same problem. Trading for some defense seems like a better idea. I like Jared Jeffries a lot, they hate his contract.
As bad as JJ looks offensively, he would surely do better here. He can guard at least three positions, works like a coolie and is apparently easy to get along with.

I guess it's that time of year again, like when the swallows leave for Capistrano and the leaves begin to turn means that summer is truly over, the "trade nash" sentiment means it's mid-winter
