Guys, just because the salary match, it doesn't mean it makes sense.

Who said anything about any of those trades or anything related to them?

I think he's just trying to say most of these trades are as unlikely Taylor Griffin becoming our starting SF.

I think this is the year Amar'e is gone, just doesn't make any sense to keep him past the deadline unless they plan on signing him, and if that were the case we would have heard something about it by now.

Miami, NJ, Chicago, and NY are all very logical destinations. Personally, I think Miami makes the most sense, therefore, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Beasley as our PF or the future.

Wow. That is very likely actually. Hill retires. Sarver is unwilling to give Dudley a contract bigger than six figures. Who you gonna call..? Taylor Griffin!

I'm forced to agree. If we can get a pick out of them and our front office actually watches tape of college players instead of blowing all our picks, it might be the best value we could get out of Amare. They've gotta be testing the waters to see what kind of deals are out there. Amare said like a month ago they haven't approached him

If Amare says he is not resigning with the other team, this team is screwed. So, trading Amare is not really an option if Amare wants to win instead of just getting the next contract. There are simply too much cap for max deals out there. Stop dreaming we could get anything better than expiring. Why should Amare cooperate to help Suns?

lets use lopez to our advantage. see if we can get a late first rounder for him. then package our second round picks to move up the draft.
theres no such thing as defense in phoenix.

I really, really don't get why some of you guys want to trade Jason Richardson for Rip Hamilton. Both have bad contracts, except Rip's is two years longer. Rip is older than JRich. They have similar production. Rip is a bit more consistent, but his contract is cap crippling.

I gotta say ... I'm really glad a lot of people on this board are not "real GMs" (pun intended).

Trading for Rip may help now but it'll most likely keep us stuck in 3 more years of mediocrity.

I'd rather take three more years of mediocrity than 3 years of being a lottery pick team. We all already know that Sarver isn't willing to pay top dollar to win a championship, and with Rip, at least the Suns are under the cap and will be a playoff team.
I'm just sayin' if the team blows up it'll be a good five years before the Suns can make an actual title run again...

Lottery picks are the only way to really rebuild into a contender. Hate to break it to ya. Unless you're gifted an incredibly talented power forward like Pau Gasol. But even the Lakers got Kobe Bryant and Andrew Bynum in the draft.

Even if the T-Wolves believe that, it's a terrible deal for them. You're telling me they go from trying to get Granger to trying to get J-Rich? There is no way. They'd be better off getting a guy like Kevin Martin (if that's the direction they want to go in) or trying to swing for some picks. The Suns might not be able to give J-Rich away; they won't get a post presence like Jefferson for him.

Further, what do you mean by "in the spirit of tanking"? That would make sense if they were getting future value or picks, but they get neither. They get worse immediately and they give up a big, young asset. It just doesn't make any sense.

Splitting hairs I know but it was the Hornets that nabbed Kobe in the draft.. the Lakers traded for him (Vlade Divac?)
