In my opinion, I think his basketball IQ isn't that great.

Yup but it's not gonna matter much if we extend Amare for more money that he earns now. Actually (too lazy to do the math) it might not matter even if Amare doesn't opt out and remains with the current salary although in that case we'd have two big expirings...uhmmm...that might be the best case scenario for us. Amare and J Rich expire and we have a lot of salary cap to either extend Amare or replace him with somebody else. Problem is, of course, if Amare opts out, that screws up everything.

JRich always plays well against crap teams but chokes hard every time we play a good/decent team.

"With Steve, he makes the game so easy that you don't really have to do much," Richardson said. "Going in with the second unit, I'm just being a little bit more aggressive."
I think this explains a lot about why Richardson has been so terrible. He's fallen into the age (36 year) old habit of relying on and standing around doing nothing but watching Nash do everything himself. I like Richardson in the second unit, and I think it may have been just the kick in the ass he needed to get himself out of the recent funk he'd been in.

He came up big time with 34 points against Boston before he injured his hand.
