really, if you haven
t been watching the Knicks, you couldn't really know how much his game has improved - great IQ, excellent passing for a big, improved offense to an impressive degree. Great attitude

he is sooo much the kid of guy the Suns love

ask him to defend and he will, I bet you anything

What if I asked him to get a block, lol.

I'd say 13 million.

His a great player but I don't think his going to get paid more than 13 million dollars.

Or score against the likes of Duncan and Howard at crunch time? :D All Knicks games are garbage time only.
Like Marion, he is a glorified role player.

Except Lee's biggest weakness is his defense while Amundson is a pretty good defender. I'm pretty sure you just saw two white power fowards and thought you should compare them.

interesting feedback....if the suns could squeeze him into a contract starting at $10 million who is interested on our board?

My thinking is that if we end up dumping several players for cap space he might be a good role player around a superstar and Nash. If we can get him for $10 milion, he might be an interesting choice. While I haven't seen great defe3nse from him personally and would like to get another scrappy defender that can play great offense, I don't see too many of them out there other than guys in the superstar category that will be available in the offseason

One other question. Assuming that we dumpe Richardson, Amare an Barbosa for cap, name your combination of players you would like to see coming back as FA's

Wherever he goes, he'll be overpaid for having been very good (defense aside) on some very atrocious NY Knick teams. If he has to play away from the basket, and cover SF or PF's he won't be able to pad his numbers.

Actually I was comparing them because both are hustle players who rebound. On that point about defense that's another thing Lou has.

Better defender-Lou

Better shot blocker-Lou

Better rebounder-Tie, if Amundson were to play 36 minutes per game his rebounding numbers would definately be similar and maybe even higher

Better offensive player-Lee, but Amundson can score in double digits with dunks, tip ins, free throws, etc.

I'm not even an Amundson fan but would definately rather have him at the vets minimum starting 36 minutes than Lee at over 10M.

I understand your point here MVF, but that scoring Lee can provide is absolutely critical in crunch time as his free-throw attempts. It would be interesting to see what Amundson could do with significant minutes every night. If we trade Amare, that may happen. He really need to work on his shot to be able to play in this crowd. Also, one other factor is that he is rarely defended, while Lee and Amare are always double-teamed down low.
