Nobody knows until that final match-up. I don't believe the pre-ordained winner thing. Anything can happen in the playoffs. It's a 7 game series.

Phoenix has a shot, just like the other 15 teams. I see a WCF run, at the minimum.
The Phoenix Suns - 54-28. Projected Record: 54-28 3rd Seed

The Phoenix Suns - 2010-2011 Projected Record: 30-52 3rd lottery pick.

I'm rooting for the Cavs or Celtics. Love the King, love Rondo.

I like Cleveland's chances, they are as stacked as most championship teams are in the past and they have the best player in the NBA. Adding Jamison to be their "stretch 4" should also help with their offense.

The Lakers have a deep 6 man rotation but they have little depth coming off the bench other than Odom. Their starting lineup even without Kobe is good enough to beat most teams but to beat the best teams, they need their bench guys to be playing well. I still think it's theirs to lose but I think the Cavs have as much chance to win it as them.

I'd put Boston, Dallas and Orlando in the same category, they all have a championship team but haven't really been playing like contender all season even if their record places them in contender status. I'm hoping the Mavs can drop the Lakers, because if any team could do it, it's them. I doubt Nate would put Boston in a better position than they were in and I just don't believe they will be healthy come playoff time. As for the Magic, they need great games from Lewis and Carter to win, Dwight always have good games so I don't worry about him as much. It's really the Lakers and Cavs to lose in their respective conferences.

So if I was choosing a team to win, I'd go with the Cavs. I think they are a deeper team than the Lakers and they have gotten some nice pieces this season to contend with the size they had problems with last season. Also as Suns fan, I'll root for almost any team not named the Lakers or Spurs.

They just look like a team full of former All-stars who have never won anything, on the down hill slide of their careers, 90% of that team is over 30. I dont know, they seem to be missing that one thing, i cant put my finger on it.

To me, they alway seem to missing out on a starting-calibur center who is capable of doing the dirty work, grab rebounds, plays consistently, has a decent post game but doesn't complain if he doesn't get shots

I'm an open minded optimistic person, I hope the Suns win.

My second choice is Denver.
My third is Cavaliers.
And my fourth is Lakers.

I'm pulling for ATL out east. I think Crawford was a great addition for them.

I hope they play BOS in the first round and bounce them. That'd be a great series... good rivalry there.

Yeah, I think the Hawks winning the ring would be very inspiring, and against the Celtics.. oh my.

If anything, 7 games makes "anything" less likely to happen. It's easy to win a game by surprise or as a fluke, but the odds of 7 of those games happening is very heavily diminished.

7 game series benefits Suns who have a young group of guys. Nash loves day-on and day-off rhythm too. 7 games gives us chances to adapt (which is what the series format is meant to do, so that series are extended as long as possible).

Anything is possible if you make it to the playoffs, guys.

#1 seed doesn't always win. If that was the case, we'd have won in 04-05. Remember Mavs in 06-07?

7 game series would kill the Suns. We have young guys but almost all of them need Nash or some other player to make them effective. Dudley can't get off his own shot, Lou can't get off his own shot, Lopez can't get off his own shot, Dragic is average.

Also, adapting is the one of many things we're not good at. Looking at our roster, we *have* to play the way we do to get wins, all the contenders are able to run if they need to or slow it down to a half court game. We're great at running, but we're not so good banging in the half court.
