I don't understand how you guys can even hate on Frye this game. He was +13. I don't care how many points they score on him as long as he is making a positive contribution.
Frye shot 50% so I have no idea what you are talking about. Clearly you didn't watch the game.
Now I understand if Frye was like -20 but that isn't the case here.

I did and everything frye did was in the second quarter once they adjusted he had no answer for anything and was just there on offense and couldn't do anything on defense. I don't use +/- to determine if a player played well or not all I know is frye stood around and watched rebounds fly all over the place instead of boxing out.

In any way, we need to keep starting Collins and use Frye as situational player: if he plays well, he plays more. We don't lose on defense with Collins in there and defensive stance is the first thing we need to establish in preparation for playoffs.

Yeah, I called this. Gentry isn't able to put Collins out there for enough minutes for him to make an impact - you can't affect the game in 10 minutes if your strengths are setting screens, taking charges, etc. Gentry just falls back on the shooters too readily. Collins clearing the lane in there opens up for Amar'e on offense just as much as having Frye spreading the floor, with much better defense.

Haha

+1. Frye is a great rotation player because of his offense, but with him as a starter, we don't establish a our defense early and it just starts turning into a shooting contest real quick.
