Lopez may not get a lot of boards but his impact on team rebounding is well documented. I'll take Lopez with 5-7 rpg while the team out rebounds the opposition than a guy like Marion or David Lee putting up huge rebounding #s yet always have their teams getting killed on the glass.

I haven't seen Jones play so I'm not sure if he is the type to keep the other team off the glass or just a garbage man. Hopefully the former.

Robin just turned 22. Dwayne Jones will be 27 in June. There is a reason he is 27 and still in the D league. If he hasn't been able to break into the NBA by now, I do not see him suddenly being an NBA starter. If he is lucky, maybe he could find a place in the NBA in a Lou Amundson type role...

Let's not forget that Dwayne has played the past 4 years on and off in the NBA, too. He's simply a back-up, and we're not relying on him for much other than being a big body should Collins be in trouble somehow.

I love it when people just solely look at stats. Yeah, 11 and 6 for Robin is pretty crappy for a big man, but do you see what he has done for Amares game?

If you watch Robin now and in college, you will see he doesnt get many rebounds, but he boxes his many out, which allows for others (Amare (nba) and Brooke (college)) to get more boards. People that are just focusing on the numbers are idiots. But im sure this guy has to be better than CLOLlins.

Actually Amare has been playing the same next to Collins besides that one medicore game against the Nets.

Well if this Jones guy can adapt quickly, just play the game the way it is suppose to be played, nothing fancy, catch some Nash passes then he can easily jump right into the rotation. I hope he has some big hands and not some Kwame Brown type hands...
The only thing we really need him to have is a high basketball IQ. The rest should come easy...

Here is his career.

I can imagine +3-4 points (Nash factor) and +1-2 rebounds, but better than Robin? I don't think so.
