You in an NBA game.

Post#1 » by Calvin Klein » Sun Apr 4, 2010 10:41 pm

There's a pretty amusing topic on the general board about what your stats would be if you got tossed in an NBA game and the coach is not allowed to take you out.

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1000150

I was interested to see what the people in the PHX board would say.

This is what i put for myself:

Calvin Klein wrote:Well if the coach is not allowed to take you out of the game, then why foul? Just try to stay in front and if you can't, let the guy drive by you.

I'm 5.8 and weight about 145 pounds.

I'd probably have 0 points.
0 assist. Maybe 1 if I'm lucky.
20 TOs.
0 rebs. (I don't see how I could get a rebound. I'd be too afraid to get in the paint).
0/7 FGs (all blocked or bricked).

50-70 points dropped on me...at least.

I don't have the stamina to go for 48 minutes so If they still can't take me out I'd probably be dead by middle 3rd Q.

I'd probably go in there and clothesline Kobe or whoever we play worst against in the playoffs.

So I'd be in the game for 5min (gotta at least make it seem like I'm not employed purely for that clothesline) and then a Flagrant 2 and I'm outta there.

It's the most productive I'll ever be for my team.

I would stay by my own basket, the entire game. If my team ever got a rebound, they just would have to throw the ball downcourt. I can make a layup*. The other team would have to either assign someone to stay with me (making it a 4-on-4 instead of 5-on-4 on the other end), or bet that they always get the offensive rebound and/or never miss. If they keep someone back on me, I guarantee my team will miss me less than whoever they get on me.

* Actually, I can shoot pretty well anytime I'm open. Ask SDU. And yes, I'm going to give him crap about right up until he comes back.

I'd play like Earl Clark. Horribly.
The Phoenix Suns - 54-28. Projected Record: 54-28 3rd Seed

The Phoenix Suns - 2010-2011 Projected Record: 30-52 3rd lottery pick.

Anyone else want to add something substantive?

Lol, I ignored hunter a long time ago. Everyone always quotes him though so it kinda defeats the purpose.

If we were playing the Lakers i would posterize kobe from the free throw line and hit a shot from 75 feet with 0.9 seconds left in the fourth quarter. My Stats : 45 points 17 assists 2 blocks 15 rebounds 10 steals

Considering my height I'd surely be a PG and I honestly don't think I could get the ball past halfcourt once

Trouble is that unless you have better-than-average handles, any NBA player is going to get right up in your grill and take away that ball. If it's certain superstars, they will kick you in the 'nads first.

When this happens, you will be called for an offensive foul.

I'd probably go on and not get the ball... if I do get the ball and get a chance to shoot a three (my specialty) I'd probably geting blocked by the giants.

Hopefully make a few assists. I am 5"11 but only 15, so I wouldnt be in an NBA game anyway.
