amare production wont go down! he was an all nba first team at center. I think this just makes the suns thin on the front line. If another team decides to go small I think the suns can put EC at SF, Grant at PF, and AMare at center.

Amare's production has been up because A. He's been a beast and B. because of Lopez's hot 1st quarters. They key in on Amare to start the game, but crap their pants when they leave Lopez open and he keeps scoring. Thus letting Amare go one on one for alot of the game. If Clark can score off of good passes with semi-open lanes like Lopez does, we'll be ok (at least offensively). I don't think Clarks big enough to guard the bigger 4's and 5's but Frye's even less suited for it than Clark

Hunter if Clark can't play D then Nash isn't a point guard the sky isn't blue and you're not an idiot.

All 3 are true.

While I agree with Hunter that Clark isn't the man I'd like to see taking Lopez's minutes, we're pretty short on 6'11" guys at the moment. :\

I see him next year in the starting line-up. If he improves like Goran or Robin did, we have a championship caliber team with a lot of young talent.

No way. You guys are REALLY optimistic for a guy who has yet to
prove himself. You HAVE to be trolling if you think suddenly he'll be a starter next season. Lol. Smh.

I bet you would have said the same thing about Rolo last year, and look where he is now.....

Since we had Shaq, yeah. We are deep enough at SF/PF.

You dont know if we are going to be deep at pf/sf. Next year Amare could be gone and Grant Hill will be 38 ( meaning he may not start anymore). If Clarks blossoms the way Rolo did, its not impossible to think that he could find his way into the starting lineup at some point next year.

No way the Suns let Amar'e walk. You're out of your mind if you think they will.

Hill is 37, and has at least another year where he can compete and put up good numbers.

It's too soon to talk about starting Clark, but you want to be hypothetical and think "Well, what if we only had 5 players, we'd HAVE to start Clark" then yeah I guess you can do that all you like.

Clark is not NBA caliber or starter material. It's likely he'll never be a starter in his entire career but more of a 6th man / role player.

Cool, here comes another 15 page thread with people baiting Hunter and him responding in kind. Pissing on a fire doesn't put it out, and clearly hunter controls himself enough to not get banned, so every "that's ridiculous" will always be met with a "Clark will never be a true NBA player". Wonder how long the pattern will go on...

He may be a true NBA player some day, he's just not now, and it's not even in the realm of sanity to suggest starting him next season when we're trying to contend.

Is it too late for him to get into the MVP race this season?

When Earl Clark becomes the player we all know he can be, (16,8,4), you will be laughed off this board. Good Riddance
