So were getting a "new" logo?

I read a post that says we are changing our main logo from the "fire ball thing" to the "rising phoenix" logo. Is this true? Would this mean that my dreams of getting new jerseys would finally come true???

I glad you researched, quoted, and thoroughly explained the information you read to help the discussion. Would be much better than if you just told us you read something somewhere about a new logo.

wow settle down. it was a topic someone posted in the general section that said there were like 5 teams getting new logos. jazz, magic, cavs, suns, clippers.. maybe one or two more. i didnt mean to make you so upset.

On that forum the guy doesn't post a source or anything and nobody questions where he obtained this?

No need to freak out at teamsteven, I'm just surprised these came out of nowhere.

And yes I don't see anything different with the Phoenix logo.

i think some of the colors are a little different on some. the magic changed a font or something, the jazz are going old school. im not really sure.

is our primary logo the rising phoenix or the ball in a sun? i thought it was still ball in sun?

Naw, the main logo now is the Rising Phoenix one. Flame Ball logo is second now.

Yeah, what hes trying to say is the ball in the sun that we have had since the early 90s, will officially become the one we see all the time now, the rising phoenix logo. So no REAL new logo, just making the unofficial one, official.

our "official" logo is the slanted square (parallelogram?) with the ball and flames coming off. not the phoenix bird w/ the ball.

Yeah, i read the GB thread yesterday and spent time reading (from one of the links to another site) about how the found out about the changes and it all seems legit. Many found out from Official NBA Apparel Vendors (Watch makers/ T-shirt companys) that started advertising products with the new logos. Since it was leaked, the NBA made them pull the images. Our Firebird logo wasnt "Official". Now it is. Nothing has changed.

I was just questioning the original source not your integrity :wink:
