You know I think it's interesting that Fisher, who I thought had been known for being a good guy and who was the lead rep of the NBPA for some time, really acts like a punk out on the court a lot of the time. Now I don't know if Lopez's elbow was intentional on that one play, but Derek Fisher walking him down like he wanted to fight? That's like Dragic getting pissed off and approaching Bynum. Sometimes I really think players' personalities can be altered by the situation they are in. A lot of guys who seemed more levelheaded elsewhere act pretty cocky on the Lakers. Fisher was a class act in Utah, Gasol wasn't such a punk in Memphis, etc. I guess if you're the Lakers you get to be cocky, but I think it's interesting.

Well Pops complained about the Gasol to Lakers trade too while later that season he got Kurt Thomas for Brent Berry who was then promptly returned to the Spurs to complete the steal.

wow, so ur saying Pao Gasol trade for kwame brown is equivalent to kurt thomas for brent barry??

 It's about the principle. Both coaches got a guy for absolutely nothing. Brent Barry got bought out and went back to San Antonio. Kurt Thomas gave them a much needed defensive big off the bench to spell Timmy. My point to you is that Pops got a steal while complained about the Gasol deal too. He and Phil Jackson are both hypocrite.

I wish Phil were a real coach - like Jerry Sloan - who very rarely, if ever, brings up the officiating when the Jazz lose a playoff game. But if Phillip's team loses a game -he brings up the officiating alot.

Last night though, Suns were more aggressive -- probably should have had EVEN MORE free throws - -then they did. The free throw disparity was based on style of play and not bad officiating. Maybe the Gasol play where I think he was in the act - that Phillip got the T on - was objectionable. But then again, Gasol used his arm to push off against Amare and nothing called.

Fisher has always been like that. Like when he set that real hard "screen" on Scola. There were a few other times when he went at other guys as well for setting hard but legal screens.

Why so the Suns can be scumbag douches too??

As a fan of the franchise, I would hope that they would stay classy about it and not lower themselves to that level. Karma's a bitch.

No. Just serving notice that if they try to hurt the Suns key players it will not be without consequences.

Or would you rather they hurt Nash / STAT (intentional hand to the face/eyes last night) / Robin without any repercussions?

I agree with garyb. If we retaliate to the Lakers cheap shots then we'd have another situation like in 07 with one or more of our guys suspended in a crucial portion of the series. No thanks. Also we'd get the reputation of being dirty instead of the most likable team in the league.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Yeah that didn't turn out very well. Evil begets evil. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

Not saying that there shouldn't be some sort of retaliation, just saying it wouldn't need to be violent. That shiz for punks.

I wouldn't call a first round pick for Kurt Thomas a steal. We're talking up a veteran bench role player who had no value to a team like Oklahoma City. He adds no wins to that team, and he was expiring and would walk at the end of the year. There's 0 downside to dealing him for a 1st. The pick turned into Rodrigue Beaubois.

WHAT?!?!?!?! Did you just say that gregg popovich is a classy guy???? Please tell me you are joking. Otherwise, you belong in a mental institution. Popovic is probably the rudest coach ever in the league and probably the dirtiest as well. There's a reason the Spurs have always been the dirtiest team. Who do you think orchestrated the Horry cheap body check of Nash that ruined our best chance of winning a championship? He is the exact opposite of classy. Jackson is a jerk too, but at least he is not dirty like Popovich is. Dude, get a clue. seriously.

I highly doubt Pops orchestrated the Horry hip check on Nash. That's like saying Gentry orchestrated the Lopez elbow graze on Fisher.

Yeah Pops is above that. Horry is just an unbelievable piece of crap.
