Jones is happy just to have this experience. I don't think he really expected to play any minutes at all and the few minutes he's had is probably enough just to raise his profile enough to get on other NBA teams radar next season. That and the money he's getting is probably all he was expecting.

We cant give up on Frye. Look at it this way, we still are in the series with him laying an egg. During the entire year, he has been one of the main reasons our bench has been able to surge on other teams. When he is on, it makes all the other guys look so much better. When he is hitting it opens up Dudley's shot, gives Barbs, and the Dragon more room to get to the basket, and takes another guy away from the basket, to make ofensive boards easier for Lou and Duds to get, not to mention Stat when he comes back in and they play together. When Fry and Dudley are on at the same time, it has been an awesom thing to watch. If you give up on that and go away from him now, you dont give yourself a chance for that to even happen. If he gets hot in game 4, we have a chance to blow the lakers out, plus he is playing decent posistion defense, hustling, and is getting boards. So even though he isnt hitting shots, he is still hasnt put his head down, and is trying to help in other ways. He is bound to break out, and when it happens, the media will realize why we made it to the finals, instead of writing us off, like they have.

Cant count on him, so dont count on him

Channing Frye against the Lakers:

November 12, 2009: 1-3 from beyond the arc
December 6, 2009: 1-5 from beyond the arc
December 28, 2009: 2-10 from beyond the arc
May 17, 2010: 1-7 from beyond the arc
May 19, 2009: 0-2 from beyond the arc
May 23, 2010: 0-5 from beyond the arc

This guy is 5-32 from three point range against LA dating back to November of last year. He isn't 'choking', he's simply continuing a trend that clearly indicates a matchup problem. I don't think I stated it here, but I said it before game 3: Channing Frye's problem isn't the road, it isn't a 'mental demon' of some sort regarding his shooting. His issue is the Lakers. Sure, he might break out one game or at least play OK, but this guy isn't suddenly going to start playing consistent basketball against the Lakers--It's just not happening. I like Channing, but if I'm a betting man, I bet with the trend and not against it. Hopefully he sees limited minutes once again.

So the question is, if you're Frye, do you opt out of the Suns next year, like you said you were going to do?

And WTF is this picture about?? Image

That's a terrible statistic. If Frye wants to stay on the floor he's gotta find other ways to contribute.

Frye is still going to opt out, even if he's sucking these playoffs, he's still much better off getting a long term deal somewhere even if it's not the MLE he's looking for. Financial security is important.

Who cares what that picture is about, WTF was he wearing??

I think that device is some 3 pointer assist device that Frye wears to help his game. He broke it before the LA series and now is suffering...

He was alright in the regular Season. Don't fool your self. He's not that good lol. He's a crappier Andrea Bargnani.

this clip just shows that dot believe youtube clips. I went to U of A when he was a wildcat, he can do other things like defend and rebound. he also attcaked the basket more but like then he over thinks. He made himself into a spot up shooter. its the coaches job to put his players to succeed and its the player responsibility to make most of his talent. This is channing fault. he has yet to own up to his sorry play. he scolded the media like a little child pretending to be an adult. not until he fully put the onus upon himself to break through this then I really dont want him back. Have u guys ever wondered why he fell out of favor in NY and portland??? I see a pattern. he is unreliable.

+1. poor guy must be spewing not getting any playing time. I bet he wishes he was back in the D-League.

I want it both ways - I liked what Alvin said about Frye: "I told him I was going to keep playing him and that he had to keep shooting - the media won;t be on his ass, they'll be on mine."
The only way for a shooter to get his groove back is ... keep shooting.

But I would really like to throw DJ at the lakers, just to see what he can bring

an aside - anyone catch that clip fo JWilliams telling the reporters to f**** off? he sounds black and Frye sounds white ... the NBA is a rich and varied tapestry, innit?

Yay x6

I think maybe winning game 3 let Frye know that they are capable of beating the Lakers. He seemed to be intimidated by them.

Hopefully he can continue his hot shooting on the road and boost his confidence even more because I think the Suns will definitely need him. If not then f*** it. Put in a rebounder/defender in Amundson.

How about that block on Gasol last night!!?!?!?! That was a career highlight for Lou right there.
