let's see

Stat
Nash
JRich
Hill
Lopez

Duds
DRagic
Barbs
DJones
Clark

TAllen
Haslem
2nd rounders - gives us 13 or 14 players, and depending on the deal we strike with Amar'e we should be in good financial shape.

I would be perfectly happy if this is how it shakes out

That means no Griff and allows us to lose either Chandler or Lou - I hate to lose either, really but I think one or the other, likely Chandler, gets an offer we won't match.

Who is Chandler?

We don't have the money to get this done. Especially with Amare resigned and Barbosa still on the payroll.

I typo-ed Chandler when I meant Frye

But Fishi - what do you mean we can't afford it? We're well under the cap now - if Frye and Barbs were gone, and Griff and Collins - we could certainly sign Stat and add some pieces. Unless I'm very wrong about the cap and our salary

losing those four allows us $10.5m in salary, though we would have to take $6+m back on Barbs

If we salary dumped LB for a TPE and let Frye and Lou go, we still don't have enough if we sign Amare. We'd have $4m in cap space but if we use that $4m on cap space, then can't use our MLE and LLE. MLE and LLE can only be used when we are already over the cap.

Haslem is definitely going to be signed in the $6m - $8m range. Tony Allen I could see getting somewhere around $3m - $5m. Unless we sign and traded LB I don't see how we could get those two.

OK - thanks
I have to say straight up a slot - most - of the arcane workings of the CBA are lost on me

So we could go after Allen, though? That would really be good for us - having a defender to throw at the Kobe's and leBron's would improve us dramatically

and i feel like a bad person for saying this but, if we can move barbs, we need to ship him.

Even I had to go back to the CBA FAQ every now and then because it is pretty confusing.

I think Tony Allen is a possibility if we don't sign Frye. Dump LB as well and I think we could have both Frye and Allen. I think everyone, including Barbs knows if we're looking to shed salary, he's the first to go, which is sad since I really like him as a person (great locker room guy and a good person in general) and I do have high hopes that he'll make a comeback next season and be an impact player. But $7m for a guy you *hope* to be an impact player is really too much.

I know I'm crazy for saying this, but I'd like to keep LB even if it means Frye is walking. Frye is going to earn decent money in FA and he'll do what he needs to do to provide for his family so if he doesn't resign with us then I'm OK. But whatever we do with Barbs will definitely be a salary dump since I don't see anyone swallowing his contract and giving us anything decent which means that we'd be selling LB for 20c on the dollar. I just think he's worth more to us if we keep him and work his value back up.

I don't want Tony Allen. The guy can play D but he's a major liability on offense.
