YOU SICKEN ME ROBERT

Post#1 » by JasonDaPsycho » Fri Jul 2, 2010 3:59 pm

I'm sorry for the caps and I'm typing this expecting to have the thread locked, or even banned.

After a year of ups and downs, we made it all the way to WCF. There were debates on whether if this is luck or talents.

Now we'll never know.

And you know what is the most **** up thing about the whole free agency to Suns?
I start to realize I'm here because of a star in the Suns. I mean, I've always been a critic towards the others for not being real Suns fan. Now I realize I'm no different from they are. I never liked Amar'e, but I knew our system worked because of him. Now that he's not returning, I had strong beliefs that we'll sign David Lee (typing his name gave me some griefs :( ). I believed Sarver wasn't as cheap as outsiders say he is.
It turns out that I was very very wrong. The system's ****.

Now I truly understand why everyone is being so pessimistic towards our beloved team. How can a fan of almost 3 decades give up on the team? I thought he/she was bluffing.
Now I know to a certain extent how they feel.

You know, when you want to cry because you know your team could be as good as the best out there, and every player on the team is committed, and we the fans are committed.
And then you ask for a committment from the owners and the management, they send you a letter of reject and expect you to be as dumb and to still stick with the team. I finally understand the hate has never been with the team, but the ownership.

Stan Van Gundy (or Otis Smith, can't remember) said something similar in the VC press conference. You expect a full committment from the players, and then the players ask for the same thing from the owners.

The problem is not with how we signed a back up role player type of PF for our starter, but when.
It's not like we have interviewed everyone out there and the only one who's willing to come over here is Hakeem Warrick.

I've been a hardcore fan with the Suns ever since Steve Nash got hip checked by Robert Horry. And now, I can say I'm still kinda a fan, but don't expect the same type of committment from me.
That is unless, we sign David Lee or for least, over pay someone to 13 million dollars a year.

*Officially jumps on to the Thunder bandwagon*

I don't think Robert did a bad job this offseason and I hate the dude :dontknow:

But you know what, this thread could go any number of places and it's not really specific enough for me to keep open. I understand your sentiments though....it sucks to feel this way year after year after year.
