Trade Idea

Post#1 » by spadez24 » Sun Jul 4, 2010 10:20 pm

Sup y'all, Magic fan here... I'm a huge fan of Steve Nash and I believe he's the missing piece of our team... This deal is a great deal for both sides... Magic send: Jameer Nelson and Marcin Gortat for Steve Nash, Grant Hill and a future 1st
Magic: PG: Nash/vet min
SG: Carter/Redick
SF: Hill/Peaches
PF:Shard/Bass/Anderson
C: Dwight:FA
this gives us the pure playmaker that we desperately need and an excellent defender in Grant Hill and great passer

Suns PG: Nelson/Dragic
SG: Barbosa/Dudley
SF: JRich/Clark
PF: Warrick/Anderson/Amundson
C: Lopez/Gortat/Frye
with this trade your team gets better depth and a talented young pg in Jameer Nelson... gortat is good enough to be a starting center and fits well in your system... Thoughts??

Why are the Suns adding a 1st? As I said in another thread you'd better send Gortat and Nelson to a 3rd team and give something the Suns would want. If the Suns rebuild they already have their young PG/C to build around.

replace Gortat with Anderson. We need shooting bigs for our offense to work... Except I have no idea how he is defensively. Gortat's got an inflated contract that I want no part of

This deal would push back the development of our PG and C, which should be a no go if we believe they can be the future of the team. And really, I don't see Nash leaving the team, demanding a trade etc. unless something major happened.

Unless Nash, and Hill for that matter, say they want a trade out of Phoenix, this is null in void. However, I think you could probably come up with a similar deal with New Orleans. It would help them out cap space wise next summer as well as keeping their heads above water, and it would help Orlando out by giving them a Top 4 PG and a way better back-up big man. Albeit, this deal would be more expensive long term for Orlando, but it would definitely make them more dangerous over the next 3-4 years.

Nelson/VC/Bass/future 1st
for
Paul/Okafor

or

Nelson/VC/Bass/Anderson
for
Paul/West/Posey/Wright

or

make it simple

Paul
for
Nelson/Pietrus/future 1st
