Reason Why Amare is not returning to Phoenix

Post#1 » by prplyaz25 » Sun Jul 4, 2010 7:12 pm

During a phone conversation with Kerr before he stepped down Amare was asked if he was willing to give the team 110% for the upcoming season, in response Amare put his butt to the phone and let one rip. This furiated kerr which is the reason why he stepped down as GM and Amare will not return, it was a disrespectful act and was not considered professional. True story!!!

Or not giving a guy who had microfracture surgery and is probably due up for another in a few years a close to $100M contract wasn't a good idea...

i dont think amare ever wanted to stay in phoenix, he just said he did so other teams would offer a lot to bring him in to their team.

but that story (true or not) is pretty funny.

Stat got tormented by the Lakers, but lets be real here he was a problem for the Suns. One he never played defence, Two after Marion was traded he started to b***h about everything. I say let his a_s_s walk atleast Warrick will do as he's told. I'm a Laker fan and I'm really looking forward to seeing what Nash can do with Warrick. I've always liked Warrick even when he was in school. I want to see what Stat can do without Nash. Nash will have the Suns in the post seasonfor sure Stats can do that with the Knicks. best wishes to you all.

Word.

Nash without Stat = playoffs

Stat without Nash (or lebron, wade, joe johnson) = lottery.

If I am wrong on both of the above, quote me in your sig and call me out in a year.

So do you think you're overpaying him/do you think he'll be a good fit? I'd say probably yes and yes from my point of view...

He is leaving because Amare is more about his image and promoting himself than playing basketball. NY is the perfect place for this media and $ whore. NY will regret giving this guy a max. The city will eat him alive.

From everything i read the suns did the right thing...........they did give him the exact offer he got from NY but asked the last two years have production clauses..which is very smart........amare was about the money not about winning..........there is no way you give a guy 100 million and his contract cant be insured.........

Amare was chased off from the Suns by Robert Sarver's Nazi propagangda that created the collective hysteria among Suns fans that he was not worth the max, not much better than Lee, etc. Too bad he had some brain under such pressure, to just follow the market!

I don't know man.
I mean, a player who doesn't box out, plays perimeter players without bending his knees, hardly attempts on the defensive end...

Just about every person I have listened to on the radio or tv agrees that amare is not a max type player. You don't lock that guy into a max contract with the health issues and the lack of desire to play "D' and rebound. Get over it! Time to move on.....

Knicks don't care. They are bringing back the Isiah Thomas way of running a bb club. This is great news for guys like Tony Parker who will get maxed money and spend 75% of the time on the disabled list.

Let the good times begin!!!!!

Suns fans are bitter because one half of the greatest pick and roll duo in NBA history just walked out the door with nothing to show.

BLAME SARVER!

He could have traded Amare at the trade deadline to Cleveland!!! But he didn't because he is an azzhole, greedy banker, period!

Now the hens have come home to roost and Sarver has convinced his loyal fans that HAKIM WARRICK and CHANNING (choke the Western Conference Finals!) FRYE will save the day.

AND!

That Nash 2010-11 will be as good as Nash 2005-06.

The rudest of awakenings is coming when the Suns miss the playoffs next season.

Rebuilding will be a nice way of putting what is ahead of the Suns in 2010-11.

Who is bitter? I think a lot of people agree Amar'e is not a max type player. I am so glad we didn't do what ATL did with the JJ contract. Trade him for who? I think they tried that many times lol. If you want something back then a sign and trade is your only hope. But be careful what you wish for. The market is nuts right now. Do you want an overpaid LEE?
