I like the possible thought of David West, he has great production for his contract, but that probably also means he will be hard to get away from NO. Also if they are trying to show Paul, that they still want to win, it probably means keeping West, or at least expecting serious talent back in the exchange.

I think Paul is gone as soon as he possibly finds a way out of town. I wouldn't really hold out much hope for the franchise if that happens either.

I'm pretty sure they are all on the floor at the same time at many points too.

Ok so what we're talking about here is, of three options, the third - them being
a) sign and trade for DLee
b) Amar'e walks, period
c) sign and trade for TPE which we can use in another deal

I honestly don't see Al Jeff being right for this tema - great player, but asking him to run on a newly-healed leg might be a mistake

However, if healthy, he could be the guy who starts the break - but Al is not known for D or rebounding, iirc

Lee is bay far the best option, in my book, followed by West

I've always wanted Gerald Wallace here. Imagine if we had him with Marion and Amare. That lineup just screams athleticism. Hopefully Earl Clark can become like Gerald Wallace, but with better handles.

Health aside, I would take Jefferson in a heart beat if there was an opportunity to get him. He's not a runner, but he a legit size to defend 4/5. He also brings an inside post game that has been sorely missed. Lakers are a lock for next season, and offensive rebounds absolutely killed this team in the playoffs. Not to mention, it would free up J Rich from having to crash boards, so he could be in transition A LOT sooner.
