Dragic was the best player off the bench last year hands down, for the minutes he got he was the most effective. If he keeps up his progress theres no doubt he'll be a starter in the NBA for a long time.

Do you like ANYONE on our team? Or last 4-5 yrs? Sheesh. You sure spend a lot of time talking about a team and its players for someone who doesn't like em much.

Well... Dragic is white, see, MVF automatically doesn't like him.

Are you serious?

I don't want to be pessimistic but besides Goran, I don't see anyone who can be more than a solid starter. And that would be Lopez. I don't see much improvement in Dudley. I love him, but can he do more than hustle, play good defense and shoot 3s? Maybe if he loses some pounds, he can be a better defender, but that's it.

And I have no idea about our 2nd round picks. Never seen them play but you all sure show a lot of faith in them considering they are 2nd rounders.

Raja Bell started for us for years. Why not Dudley? What could Raja do that Dudley can't?

Jeezus you guys are grasping for a player to dub 'our next star'. Classic 'Superstar withdraw' symptoms.

If we can keep Dudley, Lopez, Dragic, Frye, Warrick all together for the next 3 yrs, that is a respectable, youthful 5 some. Lets get them all inked up (before they hit superstardom  ).... then add to it. May be we get lucky and Clark de-scrubs himself, and Lawai can contribute too.... Then we'll buy our Superstar, like everyone else.

Lol @ the idea of clark being a "franchise" player. We're so f'd having him as a rotation Ayer this season. It's going to be hard to watch. Damn. ;(

Don't understand why we are looking so far into the future. We are talking about when Nash leaves right? Well we've still got out draft pick next season not to mention quite a bit of cap space we could throw at "our next star player".

I actually think it's good we have a bunch of role players/solid starters but we also have the cap flexibility to obtain a good player or two *prior* to Nash leaving.

We can turn things around very quickly with 1 or 2 moves and unlike a lot of teams we have the flexibility to make it happen. Things didn't look great when we traded Marbury but we turned that around pretty quickly cos we had the flexibility and now we have a similar circumstance.

We have the ability to sign 2 X 10+m per season contracts in the offseason ... and that's without making any contract shedding moves ... so we could be in an even better position come next offseason.

Remember we've got our TPE and J-Rich's expiring. If Sarver's willing to bite the bullet, we could score a couple good picks and grab us a full on franchise player. Dragic and Lopez are a good start, I'm still not sure if Dragic has a ceiling with out smart he is. He learns some new offensive move every 2 or 3 months, but we need at least another star caliber player long term

I personally don't think he's a franchise player. I DO think he will be a great starter in the future though. I just feel like when you try to make someone who dose not have a complete game the franchise then its bad news.

The real question is, Do you need a franchise player right now? My team (raps) don't have one. But we have a ton of young athletic players. We will have to wait and see.

LMAO! Who? Steve Nash? I love Nash. He is Capitan Canada. But he's also 32+. I don't think Nash is even a franchise player anymore. All star? Maybe. Great starter still? Hell ya. I love Capitan Canada.
