So a little birdie told me this morning that Rex Chapman is heavily in the mix and could be announced as new Suns GM by end of August if not sooner.

We'll see...

That'd be pretty cool; I hope whatever decision we make is based on franchise management potential though, not on name. I'd rather have some no-name assistant that would be great at the GM job than a figurehead.

Hey i could care less on how good/bad Chapman was as a player.

What matters is whether or not this guy can "evaluate talent well" just as Sarver and Babby keep saying on what quality they are looking for in a GM.

Question is: Does Rex really want the job and can Rex evaluate talent well? If he had anything to do w/ the Lawson draft last year then Suns may have a good hire cause everyone said Lawson was gonna be terrible and he was a stud.

We'll see in the next 4 weeks...
