Re: Should El Dragon be worried?
I like the idea of Janning backing JRich at the 2. But I think if we're going to get the most out of JD (minutes/production-wise), we're probably going to play him as the backup 2. We're just too stacked at the 3 for JD to get any meaningful minutes.
So our 2nd unit would probably look like Dragic/2 wings(Dudley/JChill) /Warrick/Frye. Better offensively than last season but less hustle with the loss of Lou.

PG: Nash/Dragic
SG: Richardson/Childress/Janning
SF: Hill/Dudley/Clark
PF: Hedo/Warrick/Lawal
C: Lopez/Frye/Jones
This is our lineup. With Dudley here Childress wont play much SF and Dudley wont play much SG. Depending on the matchup Childress can hold his own on D with most star SG's in the league. Plus we aren't going to be doing much man-to-man defense this season anyways, Gentry has already said we are sticking to our "girly zone". Janning, Lawal, Clark, and Jones wont be getting very many minutes this season, the only way they'll get playing time is injury and garbage time.

I think you should have Studs at SG and Josh at SF there.

Re: Should El Dragon be worried?
Dudley is too slow to be a SG, when we aren't playing "girly zone" Dudley is going to guard the SG anyways, but still, the opposing SG will guard Childress and the SF will guard Dudley, again because Childress is quicker than Dudley.

Re: Should El Dragon be worried?
oh man...
Nash
J-Rich
Dudley
Hedo
Frye.
That would be a fun line-up on certain nights. 3's from EVERYWHERE.

Re: Should El Dragon be worried?
or
Nash
Dragic
J-Rich
Hedo
Frye.
and a bench team of
Dragic
Janning
Dudley
Clark (if he's improved his long distance shooting at all)
Frye.
There's so many options for shooters on this team. And that will be what makes or breaks the Suns night in and night out. Unless Lopez can step up huge and J-Rich/Childress/Hill are beasts at cutting to the basket. Hopefully Clark can break out somewhat and be a decent low-post option. He has beefed up a bit since the playoffs. And I really hope Lawal gets some minutes, if only to establish a physical presence for the Suns on defense.

Clark, while looking improved, does not look to be a rotation player this year. Too much talent at his spot.
The Phoenix Suns - 54-28. Projected Record: 54-28 3rd Seed
The Phoenix Suns - 2010-2011 Projected Record: 30-52 3rd lottery pick.

And we're such a LONG team. That's what I'm really liking. Use the length to rebound a bit, and we'll be perfect.

That's the first half decent thing you've said about EC.

I gotta admit, during scrimmages, Clark looks great. Rebounding, smart shots, etc. Let's see if it translates.

+1. I really like how Clark looks in the traning camp videos. For a big man, to have the agility that he possesses will be a great asset to him. he also looks bigger, stronger and shows more confidence in himself.
Unlike last year, he also seems to know his role and what he's doing on the court. Last year he looked lost, but the cieos I've seen of him this year tell a much different story.
P.S I can't believe I'm talking to Hunter about how good Earl Clark is.

Dragic is never worried.
