For fun...create the best suns team from the nash era

Post#1 » by KaneSFFL » Mon Oct 4, 2010 8:05 pm

make these last few days go by faster haha...create the best suns team from the nash era from 04/05 to now. I think our best team as a whole was either last year or 06/07. Here's the catch, the players who are the bench players should be players who were on the bench in their stint with the suns at some point, so for example, if marion is my starting sf, qrich couldn't be the backup, as he never came off the bench. Go 12 deep

pg: nash/dragic
sg: JJ/barbosa
sf: Marion/dudley/Childress
pf: Amare/Diaw/Tim thomas
C: Lopez/KT

Think this team has good balance at all positions in terms of shooting, athleticism, defense, rebounding, and play-making

I really wanted to put bell in, but he was a starter his whole time here, which would mean the only way he got on was in place of JJ :/

I love lb, but his game was pretty much one dimensional. Q had low post, out side threat, defense and rebounding so he would be more of an asset. In the sf spot i think hill offers more with his all-round game too.

Nash/Dragic
Bell/Barbosa
Marion/Dudley
Amare/Diaw/Frye
KT/Lopez/Lou

Why that starting lineup? Because if we had all those guys in 2006, healthy and ready to go, we would have won the title. Perfect rebounding, solid defense, great shooting on the bench, awesome versatility and explosion, good amount of fan-favorite types with Dragic/Dudley/Lou. Wish I could put Grant in here somewhere.

One thing about this thread, is that we are still in the Nash era, and still have a shot at a title. I hope this team is the best team. :)

What about this
Nash/Dragic/House
JJ/Barbosa
Hill/Dudley
Marion/Tim Thomas/Pat Burke
Amare/Frye

Basically 04-05 starting lineup replacing Q with Hill.
