Hendrix Channing Frye

Post#1 » by JasonDaPsycho » Sun Oct 10, 2010 5:18 pm

Surprise to see this haven't been posted. Not sure if you guys care or not but Imma post it anyways.
Perhaps you guys might have heard Marv Albert mentioning it yesterday, apparently the new addition to the Frye family is a boy named Hendrix Channing Frye!

Channing Frye's 5-day-old son is named Hendrix Channing. Frye attended Hendrix Junior High in Chandler.

Yeah i saw that, I thought it was pretty cool. I always thought that would be a cool name if I had a kid, I'm a big jimi hendrix fan...

Starting for the suns in 2035.... Hendrix Frye!

They also said that his kid WASN'T named after his junior high school or jimi hendrix. Those were just the rumors.

Hey, that fits my wife's criteria of a last name as a first name. But I still don't think she will go for it. If I was more of a Frye fan, I might push harder for that.

Still want Nash as a middle name, but the wife won't budge. We should find out Thursday which gender the "boy" is. To steal a line from my father, "I don't know what my wife is having, but I'm having a boy." :D

In all actuality, I just want a healthy baby. Either way, they're playing basketball, and will be a Suns fan, not a Laker fan (we live in LA county.)

No hate here, no offense, but that's a weiiiiiiiiiird way of parenting haha. Guess you'll learn as you go along! Definitely a cool name though.

No offense taken, because I have no idea what you are talking about. Was it the basketball comment? Fan comment? My father's comment? Wife's criteria for naming?

The only comment that would refer to my parenting skills would be the child playing basketball. I mainly say that because I will probably take them out shooting all the time, and it is really the only sport I watch on a consistent basis, so I guess I thought of it as a given. Plus my child will have to play a sport anyways. I feel it teaches good sportsmanship, teamwork, and other valuable life lessons that all young people should learn. Not sure how that is weird, but to each their own. :D
