Being at the game I noticed a few things. George Karl easily broke our zone on almost every possession by quickly passing the ball around the 3 point line and finding an open shot on almost every possession, most of our players, mainly Robin Lopez, could not get back on defense (his guy scored 3-5 times on a fast break AFTER we made a shot on the other end), Nuggets did not miss much last night, Lawson and Carter killed us, especially with both on the court at the same time. I found out why Gentry decided to keep Siler, dude was just straight battling for boards, he really only messed up once when he got caught for traveling because he lost the ball on the way up, but he was bullying everyone on the boards including his own players, which I LOVED. Conditioning needs work but at least he was trying and made it down the court fairly quickly.

If we don't end up getting Dampier, expect Siler to play around 6-8 min a game.

What did i miss?

Thank god, i went out drinking last night. It would have been awful watching this game.

In the end its just a preseason game!

From what i saw in the box score:

Robin play good with the limited time, and good to see that he is grabbing rebs.

Steve was good as usual.

Dudley finally showed up.

Steve/jrich/ grant/ warrick/ lopez lineup didnt work too good.

With how much time we gave to our bench I'm a little disappointed at how relatively little we played Gani. I was hoping he'd be able to jump right into our rotation going forward, even with a few minutes.

It seems like Gentry want to assess where Clark is at first, before giving Gani minutes.

I can see that - but unless Clarke steps up, I think this is a year where we likely should give lots of minutes to Lawal, and Siler too for that matter - let's see how fast they progress and gt an idea who they might be in the future.
At the deadline, and over the summer, we ought to be in position to make some moves and if we have solid, young players that is valuable to us in several ways, right?

I was a bit bummed in how little Gani has been rebounding. If he is supposed to be the hustle guy we lost in Lou, it sure doesn't seem to translate into rebounding, even in limited minutes. I am starting to miss Lou more and more.
