They pulled out of the trade because Kerr didn't take their offer. Jamison was not their first choice.

Kerr is probably regretting not making the trade because Hickson is incredibly athletic with great strength.

He would have been a great fit in Gentry's system.

Kerr probably didn't think too highly of Hickson at the time of the trade deadline because he was just in his second year in the NBA and was just beginning to get big, consistent minutes. But he was still unproven, but had a lot of potential.

Kerr and Sarver just changed their minds about trading Amare.

If I remember correctly, I remember reading an article saying that Miami thought they had a deal done with Phoenix, but Sarver changed his mind.

I could be wrong about that, but I seem to remember reading that somewhere.

Hindsight is 20/20, but Kerr and Sarver should have gotten something in return given that Amare left for nothing and the team failed to win the whole thing.

We took LA to a 6th game in the WCF. I'm glad we let last season play out and see how far that team could go. Hickson had one nice game. Who knows if that'll sustain.

The Suns probably wouldn't have made it out of the first round if Roy and Oden were healthy for Portland.

Hickson is super-talented. If he adds a consistent mid-range jumpshot, he's going to be a star.

He would have been a good fit for the Suns.

Stat actually went out of his way to get them a trade exception. Beyond that. I'm glad they didn't bite on a bad deal just to 'get something in return'

I'm not crazy about how we used the money but when there's no deal you really like, I think letting a player walk is the smart move
