The problem with moving him for other pieces is we dont get the cap space to go after Gasol. Thats a very important factor to keep in mind.

and yet another stellar contribution from a newcomer, what is going on around here ?
I think the 'JRich option' is and always was
A. trade him only if we get exactly what we need, along with an expiring filler
B. Keep him, let him expire, sign a legit young big. Gasol is a perfect example
C. Keep him, Re-sign him only if we have to deal Chill or Duds in a 'can't refuse' offer.
D. Add to this team using the TPE and future picks.
What ? Me Worry ?

LOL, that was a good one Frank.....
One has to think that with "chemistry" being such a vital part of our teams success, the only way a trade will happen is if it is some what of a mini blockbuster that would net us a big name big, one that would fit in relatively flawlessly and quick, otherwise we continue to set the chemistry building back everytime we make a small change. Gasol, I think would be a great move, but I just don't put much credence into that "rumor" at all. I think we need to watch and see how effective the Frye and Barron pairing continues to be or if it fizzles out and doesn't work. If it does, when Lopez comes back we might not be making anymore moves this year at all.

edit
I like B.
What do you mean on option C? What kind of "can't refuse" offer are you proposing involving Chill or Dudz that would cause us to re-sign J-Rich for a big payday?
