Re: Grant Hill Appreciation Thread
Wow does this really have to become another Dudley vs. Hill argument? Dudley played great, kudos! Hill has been playing extremely well this season, bravo! We're all on the same team here, why does this it have to be one or the other?

The thread became a "Hill just went for 30 and 11: let's hate on everyone who has expressed anything but heartfelt devotion (a la Alvin Gentry) for our handsome hero." I'm guessing I was specifically referenced as a Hill-hater. Naturally, I stepped in to defend my position. Is that really so shocking?
By the way, the thread has been like this for a long time: get over it. It was either dead or dying before I changed the tone. There are only so many "Golly gee, 30 and 11!" and homoerotic "Ain't he purdy?!?" posts to keep a thread going. It sure sounded like some of the posters were itching for a debate just to make the thread interesting. No one cried "bad form" until you, after I brought up the crushing example of Dudley's 33 and 12 game against the 2nd best defense in the league.
Sounds like you're pouting.

Because there are exactly two spots to play on the perimeter with Nash, and five players who might fill those spots. Dudley should be one of those two. Hill should not.

Lol this is called a Grant Hill appreciation thread! What the heck were you expecting?
I'm just saying that you shouldn't just hate on Hill cause you like Dudley better. Dudley is one of my favorite players on the team, but I don't feel the need to constantly bash him to make Hill look better because I think he should start. Hill is an extremely likeable guy and has played great all season, and no one can argue that. Dudley had a great couple games and I'm really happy for him, but was also slumping a lot, so excuse me if I don't make the decision to give him the starting spot after a couple awesome games. If he outplays Hill consistently then obviously I would be happy to give him the starting spot, because I give credit where credit is due, unlike you seemingly.
