But I just think they would try and rape us, and at least this new FO( while never replacing Amare) won't let that happen. There are a ton of trades we could do with them that could make sense for both teams, and with ORL doing much better, we need to trade that pick before it just becomes a late first, that many teams will shy away from.

And I don't really see the point in getting a four in this coming draft, when we refuse to play Lawal even when we are getting outrebounded by 28. We won't play our rebounders, and we don't milk the hot hand. It really seems like we are trying to tank and it starts with Gentry.

What has Lawal shown to prove he's gonna solve any problems? He's a rookie 2nd round pick, Gentry isn't playing him because he's a D-league quality player, it's no different than when Gentry received criticism for not playing Earl Barron, then when he did play Barron he stunk up the joint. Bring in a 4 who can actually contribute and Gentry would give him minutes.

Fair enough - I think we all just really want to see what Lawal can do. The fact he fell to us in the 2nd is misleading as had he entered the draft he previous year, he was projected mid 1st round - his stock fell because Favours blew up. His numbers were about the same though

and really, the ship be sinking - I would not let a bulky, rebounding PF sit on the bench in this situation, but I'm not the coaching staff and I don;'t see what they see everyday. I was the same way with EC - why not play him and see what he's got?

EC I agree on but I don't blame the coaching staff there. Bringing in Warrick, Turkoglu and Childress created a logjam and made it impossible for EC to get any minutes while I'm sure Gentry had pressure from Babby to make sure his two buddies get their share of PT. EC had loads of talent but was never gonna develop on the bench, the whole handling of EC was idiotic from top to bottom, and the end result was Orlando getting a very talented lottery pick as a throw in in a trade.

Because the Suns organization views "seeing what he's got" as a white flag on the season. If lawal starts playing consisteny minutes then Kerrsed can celebrate because his tank won the war and we are officially on the Perry Jones path.
