Not familiar with Rubio... But I had a Nello's pie on my last visit, and it was almost the highlite of my trip. Got one of their italian-sausage-combo-roast beef-dips too...just because.... finished it on the plane and had my row drooling. bajeebus, for a moment there, I knew there was a god, and he was a carnivore.

Well the best pizza in Phoenix hands down is Pizzeria Bianco. All the ingredients are organic and home grown. I used to see the Suns front office personnel their often. Jerry C. himself more than once. It's expensive as hell and they only have maybe 10 tables and no reservations. It always has an hour+ wait.

When me, SDU, Tastic and KpCB went to Phoenix, Dave Griffin was nice enough to make a reservation for us at this place for a pre-game meal. We got there, all decked out in our suns jerseys and everyone else was formally dressed, suits, ties, etc. The front of house woman was like "it'll be about a 3 hour wait for you guys" but then the chef yelled out "nah these are Griff's boys, we got them" or something like that. Shortly after we were being seated while all the suit stiffs were left waiting. Awesome.

Can someone please give me some logic why Cleve would trade Varejoa to anyone, let alone us? Surely if tabled, they'd get a better offer than a floundering center, a back up wing, and a very late 1st rounder.

We go 2 and 3 over the next 5, and have moments of despair like last night, I think the FO will be forced to make some moves quick. I know VC can be dealt solo now, but when can he/Pietrus be packaged with another player? Can we wait that long?

Since this is directed at me, I'll take a stab at the logic:
Vajerao just went out of the lineup with a cheek fracture, they moved a 6'8" Powe to starting center, so getting a starting center from another team might sound logical. Plus they are running many of their players out of position with two of their SGs playing SF, so gaining a legit SF in Chilldress might be something of value to them. They locked Varejao up when he was a piece to put next to James, and now James is gone, and so is their starting center. The late 1st rounder isn't that big of a deal, but remember they wouldn't even give us the #30 pick in the Shaq trade, so maybe they like late first rounders.

It is all logical, maybe not perfect, but logical.

Why is it anymore illogical than Ily for Lopez and that terrible first? MIL has played Ily in the starting lineup since Gooden went down, and he has responded greatly, but they would give up on him just to get a backup for Bogut?

Edit: I always liked Nello's, and Rubio's Lobster burrito was great. Haven't had either in quite a while, maybe five years.

Pizzeria Bianco was probably the best pizza I've ever eaten in my life. My brother and I went after Suns/Lakers Game 4 this last playoffs. Un-be-lievable. A totally long wait though. About an hour and 45 minutes. Kerr and his family came too, and they had to wait as well. They got seated before us, but we were seated relatively quickly after them. We were seated by them, and when they got up I looked at him and said "Thank You, Stevie"....and started to clap a bit. He nodded, said thank you, and patted me on the back. The whole restaurant started to clap too. Freakin' AWESOME. After a huge win....just very, very cool.

That pizza...I need it bad.

Fair enough RDG but calling Lopez a starting center is becoming more and more a farce. I guess anything can happen, and getting Ilyasova now is as probably as unlikely as getting Verajoa. I doubt we are the only ones who realize Lopez's value has been halved. He is fast becoming a toss in, rather than centerpiece.
