yeah, obviously a bleach fan :) and thanks for the comment about my english.

about robin, the thing I don't like about him besides his awful rebounding is how slow his movements/reactions are, it's like he isn't used to his body... hopefully he will develop into a good starter for the NBA, although his injuries were a real setback...

about josh, who played 2 years in the greek league. I think you are overrating him a bit, he was supposed to make a difference in our league but that ain't his role, his defence/reboundig and scrappy playing is there, but i prefer MP for the role because he can shoot the 3s pretty well, would be happy to see him traded for a player in a more needed position!

Those were in fact his Euroleague numbers, not the BBL (german basketball league) ones. Not exactly mind blowing, but i would not call them bad. Slower pace, much more crowded paint... To give you a proper perspective, Scola was averaging 14+5.6 during his 6 EL season and 15.5+5.9 in his last one.

Switching back to Lopez, one thing that struck me the most in the Blazers game: he turns the wrong way on the p&r. It's a rule #1 that you turn in the direction your teammate went so you can see the ball all the time. It's a bit counter-intuitive, cause the quickest way to turn towards the basket is to do 1/4 of a cricle instead of 3/4 and that was what I saw Lopez doing over and over again. It's quite easy to correct and it greatly improves offensive awareness on p&r.

We're up one in the third quarter. HIll makes his second three. Makes one, it could be a fluke; makes two, and you gotta respect it. Next three possessions are layups. In a minute-and-a-half, we're up seven.

Hill is 4 for 5 in the two games since he came back from injury. Did he camp out in the corner and practice while his mobility was limited? Watch film? This is the first time Hill has made multiple treys in two games in a row since 2007. Four treys in two games, after 6 total in 35 games. If this is a trend, the Suns just massively upgraded, and my anti-Hill rant will disappear.

Two great wins, against a team that was 3-0 against us this year, and against a team that rocked us by 25 points last time.

in my opinion neither ortat or lopez are the ootnetial starters for a championship caliber team. in the style the sund play they need a mobile mor active big. suns biggest weapon is speed and tempo of the game. gortat and robin are not garbage they are not the best fit.

Gortat imo could be a valuable piece, simply filling the role of the defensive anchor that crowds the paint, clears the boards and denies penetration. If paired with an offensively-polished PF (someone Amare-ish), that duo could work pretty well I think!

Now that is impressive, my bad.

European bball is much more defensively oriented. By comparing those stats with NBA-level stats won't give you a proper idea. But take also in consideration that Gortat was the focal point of that polish team, offense/defence was designed mostly around him. That alone should give him a stat boost.

Just wanted to add on something in the conversation. Besides, I assume we all agree that Gortat should prove his worth in the other end more, defensive stops alone should transition into better offense.

Hill has always been able to knock it down from the corner. I don't know why he doesn't take that shot more often.

I can;t imagine why he wouldn't take it if he was confident in the shot - he'd have the green light. My recollection is that Grant has a great mid-range game, one of the few players who does, but really isn't al long ball shooter at all. He's just better now than he was, but I guess he's still reticent in taking it
